Strong lungs for the win!!
In TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) Lungs are viewed as the most vulnerable organ system, as it is the only system that is exposed to pathogens in the outside world!! In TCM our lungs are central to good immunity ie, our ability to fight off coughs, colds and infections!!
There are many things we can do to support our Lungs;
- Qigong
- Hydration and eating pears to prevent the lungs from getting dry
- Keeping our neck, back and ankles/feet warm
- Acupuncture and acupressure.
Try out this little Qigong practice for a few minutes morning and night as a support mechanism for your lungs.
In TCM, healthy lungs also reflect on our skin, so that's another reason to protect this precious system!!
