Communication Is One of a Coach’s Most Powerful Tools

As a coach, communication isn’t just about what you say it’s about how you say it and how many ways you can say it.

Not every child processes verbal instructions.
Not every child communicates with words.

That’s why inclusive coaching means adapting communication:
• Visual cues
• Demonstrations
• Gestures
• Objects and equipment
• Simple language
• Time and space

Sometimes a cone explains more than a sentence.
Sometimes a picture works better than a whistle.
Sometimes movement is the message.

Using a variety of tools allows every child to:
• Understand
• Engage
• Feel confident
• Feel included

If we want children to succeed, we must be willing to change the way we communicate not expect them to change first.

Inclusion starts with listening, adapting, and meeting children where they are.

I know this looks a little unorthodox 😅
But this is FUN, engaging, and purposeful.
Fine motor skills through finger pinching, core activation, problem-solving, and amazing parent child bonding… all wrapped up in a playful challenge 😅
Inclusive development looks different and that’s okay 🙌
