We had another lovely, busy day filled with creativity, teamwork and plenty of festive spirit.

This morning we put up another Christmas tree, and a few of us happily helped decorate it—adding baubles, tinsel and their own personal touches to make it shine.

Our arts and crafts area was full of activity, with everyone getting creative in their own way. From colouring and sudoku to diamond art and aqua painting, there was something for everyone to enjoy. The room was full of concentration, smiles and lots of colourful creations.

After lunch, some chose to go for a refreshing walk in the crisp, fresh air, while others stayed indoors to continue their arts and crafts projects.

We spent the morning getting creative, making Christmas gingerbread-shaped decorations using air-dry clay. Everyone enjoyed shaping and designing their own ornaments, and by the time lunch was over they were dry enough for us to start painting. The room was filled with colour, conversation, and plenty of Christmas spirit.

In the afternoon, we rounded off our activities with some gentle chair exercises to get us moving, followed by a cheerful singalong that had everyone smiling. Music always brings such a lovely atmosphere to the group.

We were also delighted to welcome a new member today. It’s always a pleasure to share stories, make new connections, and learn a little more about one another.
All in all, it was a joyful, creative, and heart-warming day. 🎄✨

It’s been a chilly couple of days, but that hasn’t stopped us from staying busy and engaged with a variety of activities! Despite the cold, our spirits have been high, and we’ve found plenty of ways to keep active and creative.

In the arts and crafts area, we’ve been busy working on some beautiful projects. Everyone has enjoyed expressing their creativity, whether it’s through painting, coloring, or crafting with different materials. It’s always a joy to see the finished pieces and how proud everyone is of their work.

We’ve also been keeping our bodies moving with some chair exercises and hand therapy, which are designed to improve flexibility and dexterity. The exercises help everyone feel more comfortable and energized, and we’ve seen some great progress!

Our shuffleboard games have been a hit, bringing plenty of friendly competition and fun. Whether it’s trying to get the perfect shot or cheering each other on.

And of course, no day would be complete without our sing-along sessions! Music always has a magical way of bringing people together, and we’ve had a wonderful time singing some classic tunes and enjoying the camaraderie that music can create.
It’s been a full and fulfilling few days, and we’re looking forward to many more. Even when it’s cold outside, the warmth of the activities and the wonderful people here keeps things lively and full of smiles.

Our morning began with a relaxed catch-up as we gathered to read the newspaper and chat about the day’s stories. It was a great way to ease into the day and share thoughts, memories, and plenty of laughs.

Over in the arts and crafts area, there was a wonderful buzz of activity – colouring pages being brightened up, diamond art taking shape, and some beautiful drawings created. The creativity on display was fantastic, and everyone enjoyed having the chance to get stuck into something they love.

After lunch, we wrapped up warm and set off for an afternoon walk, but the chilly weather soon encouraged us to head back indoors. Instead, we kept ourselves moving with some gentle chair yoga, which brought lots of calm and focus.
To finish the day on a fun and energetic note, we played the balloon game – always a favourite, followed by a cheerful singalong that filled the room with music and joy.

Today was all about getting into the festive spirit! We kicked off the morning by putting up our very first Christmas tree of the season.

We then got creative, painting our own Christmas ornaments and adding a special touch with glitter — including our names to make each decoration unique and personal.

After lunch, we wrapped up warm and headed out for an afternoon walk. It was far too chilly to venture out in the morning 🥶, but the fresh air in the afternoon made for a lovely stroll.

To end the day on a high note, we gathered together for a good old-fashioned singalong — the perfect way to bring warmth, laughter, and festive cheer.

We started the morning with a cosy catch-up over a nice cuppa and some crumpets, giving everyone a chance to chat and ease into the day. After that, we enjoyed a relaxing mix of knitting and reading the newspaper together.

A real highlight of the day was welcoming the lovely Jason from Winncare, who gave us a fantastic demonstration of how to use the E.L.K cushion. We’re delighted that we’ll have our very own arriving next week. A huge thank you once again to everyone who donated—this is truly an amazing piece of equipment that will make such a difference.

The afternoon was filled with creativity and fun as we worked on diamond art and word searches. After lunch, we rounded off the day with a lively game of bingo followed by some gentle chair yoga to unwind.

Today was a warm and welcoming day as we greeted two new members who joined our community. We spent some time getting to know each other over a cup of tea and shared stories, before heading out for a lovely morning walk together, enjoying the fresh air and the sights around us.

After our walk, it was time for some creativity! Our arts and crafts area was buzzing with activity as everyone took part in some relaxing colouring and drawing. It was wonderful to see so much creativity flowing, with people expressing themselves in different ways.

Following lunch, we enjoyed some fun and engaging activities. The group had a blast playing shuffleboard, laughing and cheering each other on. For those who enjoy a bit of quiet time, there was knitting to keep hands busy, and others took on the challenge of giant chess.
It was a lovely day filled with laughter, creativity, and good company.

We started the morning with a friendly catch-up over cuppas and crumpets, sharing stories and laughter before heading out for a gentle walk to the antiques centre. Everyone enjoyed reminiscing as we explored the treasures and chatted about days gone by.

Back at the barn, our arts and crafts area was buzzing with creativity — everyone got stuck into something they enjoy.

After a delicious lunch, we spent the afternoon with some hand therapy exercises, followed by a cheerful sing-along and a lively balloon game to finish the day on a high note!

Today was a very special day as we marked Remembrance Day together. We also had the pleasure of welcoming a new customer to our centre — it was lovely getting to know them during our morning catch-up and chats.

After spending some time sharing stories and enjoying each other’s company, we headed out for a refreshing morning walk to start the day right.

When we returned, we paused for a minute’s silence to remember and honour all those who served. This was followed by a creative session of Remembrance Day drawings and pictures, which everyone took great care and pride in.

After a tasty lunch, the wonderful Gina joined us for a Remembrance-themed singalong show! She was absolutely fantastic — the room was full of smiles, singing, and laughter. Everyone joined in with instruments, and we had lots of fun with the coconuts! 🥥😂

We started the morning with some peaceful knitting and a little bit of newspaper reading. It was a great way to ease into the day, with some members working on their projects while others chatted about current events.
Afterward, we ventured out for a lovely morning walk. The autumn leaves were falling gently from the trees, and the views of the countryside were simply breathtaking. Everyone took their time, enjoying the crisp air and the beauty around us. Some of us even picked up a few leaves along the way, which later became part of our creative projects.

Back inside, we got busy with some fun crafts. A few of us hammered poppies into wood to create a beautiful display, while others used the leaves we’d collected on our walk and some chalk to make delicate leaf rubbings. 🍁

One of our members, who used to train police dogs, gave us an exciting demonstration. He showed us how the dogs are trained to respond to commands and even let us try some of the techniques ourselves. It was fascinating to hear his stories and see his knowledge in action. 🦮

After lunch, we had some fun with games. The ring toss was a hit, with everyone getting competitive in a friendly way, and the 2p game brought plenty of smiles and excitement. To end the day on a high note, we had a bit of a sing-along to some Buddy Holly tunes. It was a real blast, and you could hear the joy in everyone’s voices as we belted out those timeless songs.🎤

This morning we enjoyed a refreshing walk, taking in the crisp autumn air and sharing stories along the way. Afterwards, everyone got creative with a Remembrance-inspired art session, making beautiful poppy pictures using black paper and soft pastels — the results were stunning and full of colour. ❤️

After lunch, the afternoon was all about fun and activity! We spent some time shining shoes until they gleamed, then made plenty of joyful noise with our musical instruments session, followed by a friendly game of darts that brought out our competitive sides. 🎯 To round off the day, we kept ourselves moving with some gentle chair exercises, full of laughter and encouragement from one another.
It was a lovely day filled with creativity, conversation, and smiles all around. 🌟
