The sun made an appearance today, so we took the opportunity to head out for a lovely morning walk and enjoy the fresh air together.

Back at the barn, we had great fun decorating biscuits – and of course, we couldn’t resist eating them straight away!

We also continued making our beautiful 3D heart pictures, which are coming along wonderfully.
After lunch, we enjoyed some gentle chair exercises, spent time doing word searches, and most importantly, had lots of lovely chats, simply enjoying each other’s company.

It’s been a wonderful day. Have a lovely weekend, and we look forward to seeing you all on Tuesday!

Today we had a wonderfully creative and joyful day. In the morning, we made beautiful 3D hearts using colourful magazine pages, and the results were truly incredible. The gentlemen also spent time creating Valentine’s cards and sweet treats for their wives, which was such a thoughtful and meaningful activity.

After enjoying lunch together, some of our group headed out for a refreshing walk, making the most of the fresh air, while others stayed in for a lively singalong to Tom Jones, filling the room with music and smiles. We ended the day all together, laughing and having fun playing the balloon game — the perfect way to finish a lovely day.

ONE OF OUR CUSTOMERS DAUGHTERS IS WALKING 13 MILES IN AUGUST,

I just want to say a huge thank you to everyone who has donated so far — I’m honestly so touched and incredibly grateful for your kindness and generosity.

As I’ve now hit my target for Alzheimer’s Society donations, I wanted to also open this up to a cause closer to home; Honeysuckle – Our World Dementia Day Care in Copdock, Ipswich, who have been our absolute lifeline since Mum’s diagnosis.

Honeysuckle is a small, family-run dementia day centre providing essential respite for families like ours, while creating a safe, stimulating and joyful environment for their members — from gardening to meaningful activities and special day trips. Ali, Lauren and Carol truly are our real-life superheroes, caring not just for Mum but for all of us too.

Our morning began with a relaxed catch-up over the newspapers, alongside some knitting. We also enjoyed a delicious morning fruit platter, which went down a treat and gave everyone a lovely fresh start to the day 🍎🍊🍇

In our arts and crafts area, we continued working on our Valentine’s creations. There was lots of creativity as everyone added their personal touches. We were also very proud to complete our 500-piece puzzle that we’ve been working on — a fantastic team effort and a great achievement for all involved 🧩👏

After lunch, we planned to head out for a walk, but the weather had other ideas! Instead, we stayed cosy indoors and enjoyed sticker art, colouring, and more puzzles — plenty of smiles and concentration all around.

Today was full of smiles, creativity, and a real sense of togetherness. We started the day with a variety of activities so there was truly something for everyone. Valentine’s crafts were in full swing, with lots of colour and heartfelt creations. Alongside that, some enjoyed puzzles, crochet, and colouring—gentle activities that sparked conversation, focus, and plenty of laughs.

We were also treated to something very special — our lovely Maya made homemade cheesecakes for everyone to enjoy. They went down an absolute treat, and there wasn’t even a crumb left!

In the afternoon it was time to get a little competitive. Our bowls and shuffleboard games brought out great enthusiasm and friendly rivalry, with lots of encouragement and cheering from everyone involved.
As always, we finished the day on a high note with a good old sing and dance.

Today we got hands-on with some modelling clay. Everyone let their imagination run free and we saw some wonderful creations, from vases and faces to chairs. It was amazing to see everyone’s creative side shining through.

After lunch, with the weather stopping us from heading out for a walk, we enjoyed some chair exercises to keep us moving. We then had great fun playing the balloon game, followed by a lovely sing-along together.

The morning was spent watching wild animals on the television, which sparked lots of conversation and brought back some wonderful memories of travelling in South Africa. It was a joy to see everyone sharing stories and reminiscing together.

Later on, everyone chose something different to enjoy in the arts and crafts area. Activities included puzzles, aqua painting, making Valentine’s gift bags, crosswords, drawing vehicles. It was great to see so much focus, creativity, and individuality.

After lunch, we relaxed with some card games before ending the day on a high note with singing and a fun balloon game. Lots of smiles, laughter, and togetherness made it a really special day for all.

To all our families and caregivers you are incredible. Every day, you show up with patience, strength, and love that often goes unseen but never unfelt. The care you give matters deeply, and so do you. You are not alone in this journey—just as we are here for your loved ones, we are here for you too.

It’s okay to feel tired, overwhelmed, or unsure at times, and it’s more than okay to ask for help. Reaching out isn’t a sign of weakness; it’s a reminder that caregiving was never meant to be done alone. You are valued, you are supported, and you are deeply appreciated 💙

We enjoyed a lovely mix of activities today. There was sticker art, colouring, knitting, newspapers and puzzles to keep everyone engaged.
After lunch, the sun was shining, so we were able to get outside for some fresh air — just what we all needed. We ended the day with a joyful singalong, which was a perfect finish.

Today we enjoyed a calm and relaxed morning, spending time chatting together while some of us enjoyed knitting. It was a lovely opportunity to connect, share stories, and ease into the day at a gentle pace.

As the morning went on, we moved into creative and brain-stimulating activities, including sticker art, Valentine’s crafts, puzzles, and crosswords. Everyone joined in at their own pace, with lots of smiles, focus, and encouragement shared around the room.

In the afternoon, the energy lifted as we played the parachute game, followed by chair-based exercises to get us moving safely. We ended the day with a cheerful singalong, filling the room with music, laughter, and a real sense of togetherness.

Today we enjoyed a gentle and welcoming start as we greeted a new member into our group. The morning began at a relaxed pace, with lots of chatting, reading the newspapers together and some peaceful knitting.

In the arts and crafts area, creativity was flowing. Some members drew beautiful pictures of classic old cars, while others enjoyed colouring and spending time together.

We were also thrilled to receive an amazing delivery of steam train books from the Ipswich Transport Museum- thank you so much- which sparked lots of interest, memories and conversations as we looked through them together.

After lunch, the energy lifted as we tried out our new parachute game, followed by chair exercises and a fun balloon game — all accompanied by plenty of singing and laughter as we sang our hearts out.

Today was one of those days you get to look around and see what a difference we are making.
Friendships built, trust and love and so much laughter.
We welcomed some visitors to honeysuckle our world,to hear our customers say how wonderful it is here is all we ever wanted. We are lucky to spend our days with you. We continue to learn from each other………….
