GLP-1 …….. no matter which weight loss injection you’re prescribed or purchasing, irrelevant of where from….. please listen up and read 🫶🏻
I wish more medical teams and therapists would chat and research between themselves with different clients in mind.
I’m not just a headspa bringing you all the relaxation and stress relievers and glossy hair (which at ZEN we certainly do well) …… I care…… I’ve done extensive amounts of research into hair loss, thinning, regrowth etc and I continue to study it and read as many medical studies as I can.
Which brings us to GLP-1 weight loss…….. phenomenal right?….. right! Right if usage and quality is correct.
Which ever one you’ve used/using will have pros and cons……
Not my area - but if you’re interested in fertility- do your research
Not my area- but if you’re interested in diabetes, blood glucose levels etc do your research
However with all pros…… we HAVE to connect the dots and start recognising the cons …….
Which brings me right to MY AREA - hair loss…….
Medical findings note increased incidence of alopecia and hair thinning in GLP-1 users, more so in incorrect dose users.
Why? Rapid weight loss, nutrient especially protein deficiency.
Some people do want help to loose weight and I get it, unlike many online critics I’m all for people looking and feeling their best if it’s done correctly, but there’s no point dropping 4 dress sizes if your hair line is getting further back and there’s more hair in your brush than on your head.
