🍽️ D.I.E.T – Dining Immersive Experiential Training 🍽️Today, our office team and care staff at Fuchsia Homecare Cambridge took part in an immersive dining experience focused on dementia awareness.
The session gave us a deeper understanding of how our service users living with dementia may feel and experience the world around them. By briefly stepping into their world, we explored how sensory changes, communication challenges, and environmental factors can affect confidence, appetite, independence, and overall wellbeing. This experience strengthened our empathy and reinforced the importance of patience, reassurance, dignity, and truly person-centred care.
Together, we continue to reflect, grow, and enhance the quality of care we provide every day.
