For some women with Polycystic O***y Syndrome, research has suggested there can be:

• Changes in muscle strength and endurance
• Altered biomechanics and posture
• Differences in fat distribution (including upper back/neck areas)

When this is combined with everyday habits like sitting, desk work, or phone use, it may contribute to that rounded upper back appearance over time.

It’s not about blame or quick fixes; just understanding how your body might be responding and what could support it.

Dynamic stretching before exercise has been shown to improve performance by increasing muscle temperature, range of motion, and neuromuscular activation.

In contrast, prolonged static stretching before activity may temporarily reduce strength and power output, which is why it’s better suited for post-exercise recovery when muscles are already warm.

Static stretching post-workout helps reduce stiffness, improve flexibility, and promote relaxation in the muscle tissue.

Are you stretching at the right time… or just going through the motions?

Studies show regular stretching can improve flexibility by up to 20% and significantly reduce your risk of muscle tightness and injury.

If you’ve ever felt lower back pain when bending down, or your back suddenly locking when reaching for something, it’s not random; it’s built-up stiffness over time.

Most people ignore daily stretching for tight hips and lower back pain, and that’s exactly why simple movements start to feel painful.

Adding just 5 minutes of daily mobility exercises for beginners at home can completely change how your body feels and moves.

Daily Stretch plan now available in our link 🙌🏽

Most women with PCOS aren’t doing the wrong things to manage their PCOS 🤔; they might just be doing them in the wrong way.

• Too much intensity
• No structure
• No recovery

That’s where results stall.

Did you know Salah (Prayer) naturally improves posture, mobility & flexibility? 🤲🏽

From a clinical perspective, movements like Ruku (Bowing) and Sujood (Prostration) promote spinal health, joint mobility, and circulation.

A reminder that what we do daily has benefits beyond what we see.

Do I need a Sports Massage? 🤔

You don’t need to be an athlete to need a sports massage. 🏃

In fact, the people who need it most are the ones who:

~ Sit all day
~ Drive all day
~ Doom Scroll
~ barely move at all

Tightness isn’t normal 🫩; it’s just common.

Fix it before it’s too late ⏰

If you’re dealing with neck posture pain, this could be the reason. 👨🏽‍💻

Most people spend hours with their head pushed forward looking at phones and laptops. Over time this puts a lot of strain on your neck muscles and joints.

Try this quick neck posture checklist:

✅ Chin slightly tucked
✅ Ears stacked over shoulders
✅ Chest tall
✅ Shoulders relaxed, not rounded

Small posture changes can make a big difference to neck pain.

This is one of the most common Ramadan questions I get as a sports therapist & cupping practitioner.

Here’s the breakdown according to the 4 madhabs:

• Hanafi – wet cupping does NOT break the fast
• Maliki – does NOT break the fast
• Shafi’i – does NOT break the fast
• Hanbali – DOES break the fast

The difference of opinion comes from the hadith:
“The cupper and the one cupped have broken their fast.”

Most scholars interpret this as referring to weakness; not actual invalidation of fasting.

If you follow the Hanafi/Shafi/Maliki school, wet cupping during fasting is valid, but it may be disliked IF it causes significant weakness.

As always:
✔️ Know your madhab
✔️ Know your body
✔️ Plan wisely during Ramadan

Allah knows best 🤲🏻

Save this post for later & share it with someone who’s considering hijama while fasting.

MET is a gentle, active stretch technique.

You don’t force the stretch; the muscle does the work.

1. I place the muscle in a stretch.
2. You gently contract it.
3. Then relax.
4. We repeat 3x (10s,10s,20s)
5. And the range increases naturally.

Who is MET for?
✔ Tight quads or hamstrings
✔ Reduced flexibility
✔ Muscle imbalances
✔ Post-training stiffness
✔ Rehab or recovery phases

When is MET used?

⁃ After training
⁃ During rehab
⁃ When muscles feel tight but sensitive
⁃ When aggressive stretching isn’t appropriate

Why do we use MET?

→ Improves flexibility
→ Reduces muscle tension
→ Helps reset muscle length
→ Safer than forcing a stretch
→ Improves movement quality

Where is it used?

⁃ Quads
⁃ Hamstrings
⁃ Hip flexors
⁃ Glutes
⁃ Calves
⁃ Neck & shoulders

This is why MET is a staple in sports massage and rehab work.

📌 Save this if you train regularly
