🗣️ Have Your Say – Join Our Patient Participation Group (PPG)

Would you like to join a group that helps share feedback and improve GP services?
Come and join us to discuss issues affecting you and other patients.

Our GP Patient Participation Group (PPG) brings together patients, carers and practice staff to:

Hear your views, concerns and ideas
Recap previous actions and share new updates
Agree priorities and simple next steps to improve how we work

PPGs make real, constructive changes to the way services are provided at GP practice level. They also play a key role in encouraging healthier communities by sharing information, advice and support to help local people look after their health.

By getting involved, you can:

Help us better understand your needs and preferences
Support us to improve access, communication and patient experience
Be part of a positive, solution‑focused group working with (not against) the practice.

💩Bowel Cancer Screening – Please Don’t Ignore Your Kit💩

🔵Bowel cancer is the third most common cancer in the UK – but if it’s found early, treatment is often simpler and outcomes are much better. Screening can even help prevent cancer from developing.

If you’re aged 50 to 74, you should be invited for NHS bowel cancer screening. You’ll be sent a home test kit called a FIT (faecal immunochemical test). This checks a small sample of poo for tiny traces of blood, which can be a sign of polyps or bowel cancer, often before you have any symptoms.

✅ The test is:

Done at home
Simple and quick
Sent back by post in a prepaid envelope
Most people who complete the test will not need further checks. But for the small number who do, picking things up early can be life‑saving.

👉 If you receive a bowel screening kit:

Please complete it as soon as you can and send it back.
If your kit is sitting in a drawer, this is your reminder to use it.
If you have symptoms such as a persistent change in bowel habit, blood in your poo, ongoing tummy pain, or unexplained weight loss, please do not wait for screening – contact the practice or NHS 111 for advice.

The Horizon Team in Coventry Children’s Services work with children and young people living in Coventry that have been or are at risk of being exploited.
Exploitation can happen to any child regardless of their age, gender, background, socio-economic status, religion or culture.
It is important to remember that a child cannot consent to their own exploitation and a child may not consider themselves as a victim.
Think, spot and speak out against abuse and child exploitation.
