The wonderful Rosie enjoying her maintenance treatment. For such a young horse she behaves impeccably where her mum is doing such a wonderful job producing her. It has not been easy for either but seeing how far they have come is so rewarding.

Yesterday I had the pleasure of treating this handsome boy Texas.
Texas is a beautiful 24 year old Connie X , he currently enjoys a quieter life with his owner of 15years, but don’t let that fool you 🤪 🏇
Texas will be seen regularly for maintenance sessions to aid in releasing those areas of tension, to promote overall joint health and suppleness. Keeping him feeling his happy, cheeky self!

The wonderful DiDi is an 8 year old Mallinois who is regularly seen for maintenance treatment.

Due to her lifestyle and breed she is an active dog where treatment is integral for her overall well being.

This is Connie- Isn’t she adorable! 🤎

This was her first chiropractic and massage treatment at the age of three, where she took everything in like she had been having treatments all her life.

The treatment was tailored to her needs, making the session a really positive experience enabling her to build on her confidence and accept the many benefits of McTimoney treatment.

Let’s talk gait assessment 🗣️

Here you will see the lovely Danni with 2/3 of the horses which received treatment today.

From gait assessment we are looking for:
▪️Any areas of tension / compensatory movements
▪️Are they sound? Are they restricted in range of motion? Equal footfall?
▪️Are they restricted through there thoracolumbar?
▪️Is there a swing of the pelvis, are they dropping on a particular side?
▪️Is the horse able to move through there thoracic sling or do they appear restricted.

Horses will then be placed on a small circle on both reins and asked to back up. All the horses seen today for there maintenance treatments were seen as they were all youngsters either starting there ridden careers or riding away where their owner wanted to ensure that they were happy, comfortable and used to other people handling from the start of there careers. Follow to keep an eye on there journey! 🖤

The horse is pictured here on the left, demonstrating asymmetry through the pectorals, shoulder and tricep.

Following treatment the horse demonstrated a better posture, symmetry and suppleness.

Therefore through regular maintenance treatments enables our horses to continue to perform optimally as athletes.
