If your life is in immediate danger call 999. Our Trust provides a wide range of mental health and learning disability services for children, young adults, adults and older adults. We provide a range of community services for people in Coventry. We also provide inpatient, community and day clinics as well as specialist services to a population of about 850,000 living within Coventry and Warwickshire and also to a wider geographical area in some of our specialist services. Our vision: To work for the wellbeing of the people we serve and to be recognised as the best at what we do. Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership Trust was formed in 2006 and integrated with community services from NHS Coventry in April 2011. The organisation now provides services from more than 80 locations with an income of about £200 million, and employs more than 4,000 dedicated staff. We intend to become a Foundation Trust which will give us more control over the services we provide. It will also allow us provide better services and involve our local communities in the bigger healthcare decisions that we make.

It’s Occupational Therapy Week! 🌟 This year highlights how occupational therapists (OT’s) help people stay well for longer and avoid crises by stepping in early – across all areas of practice and stages of life.

At CWPT, we have occupational therapy teams working with children, adults and older people. They are making a difference providing assessments, personalised interventions and ongoing support to help people live healthier, more independent lives 🩵

Prevention-focused care is key to a healthier, more sustainable future for all. To all our occupational therapists: what does being an OT mean to you?

For Learning Disability Nurses Day, we caught up with Jose Ferin, a learning disability nurse on Amber Unit, a specialist assessment and treatment ward for people with learning disabilities and autism at Brooklands Hospital.

1 year on from qualifying, Jose explains a bit more about what the role of a learning disability nurse involves and what a typical day looks like.

We’re pleased to have received Outstanding Contribution for ‘Trust of the Year – Promoting the Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (ED&I) Agenda’ at the Asian Professionals National Alliance (APNA) NHS Awards 🎉

Congratulations to our Deputy Chief Medical Officer, Dr Hassan Mahmood, who also received Outstanding Contribution for ‘Impactful Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Champion’. 🏆 Dr Mahmood had the honour of chairing a powerful panel discussion on ‘Tackling Health Inequalities’, joined by Dr Ananta Dave, Prof Habib Naqvi MBE, and Dr Sarmad Nadeem. They explored the vital role of co-production, engagement, co-delivery, and co-evaluation in building a fairer, more inclusive NHS.

It was great to see our staff attend to celebrate diversity, share innovation, and drive equality, diversity and inclusion across healthcare 🩵
