 It’s about the system that rewards power over empathy, control over care, and image over integrity.

Narcissistic abuse doesn’t exist in isolation — it’s mirrored by the wider culture we live in.

 A culture that teaches us to disconnect from our emotions, to silence our needs, and to see vulnerability as weakness.

So when we find ourselves in relationships where gaslighting, control, or emotional manipulation show up — we often minimise it. We’ve been conditioned to.

In Episode 6, I’m joined by Teena of Ungaslighted — an incredible woman doing fantastic work advocating for women’s rights and safety. Together, we explore how narcissistic abuse and patriarchal conditioning intertwine, and what it means to reclaim your power and voice.

Remember — being a feminist isn’t about wanting more for women.
 It’s about wanting equal rights and respect for both women and men.

✨ Blessed Samhain ✨
Today marks Samhain (pronounced Sow-in), the ancient Celtic festival that honours the turning of the seasons - the end of harvest and the beginning of winter. 🍂

It’s a time to pause, reflect, and honour our ancestors, those who came before us and all that we’ve harvested in our own lives this year…

Samhain also inspired modern-day Halloween with its bonfires, costumes and traditions rooted in the belief that this is a moment when the veil between worlds is thinnest.

May this time bring you quiet reflection, warmth, and gratitude for the cycles of life, death, and renewal🕯️🖤

Yes, my artwork is amazing 😂 I’m doing my best as a stick-person artist!

I’ve had clients share that they weren’t quite sure what therapy actually looks like — or how approaches like parts work can really help them feel better. So, I drew this little diagram and thought I’d share it here too.

Often, when we’re struggling with things like anxiety, low confidence, or low self-worth, it can feel like these parts completely take over — like they are who we are. But they’re not. Beneath all of that, there’s a core self that’s kind, compassionate, calm, and steady.

Therapy helps us reconnect with that self — not by pushing away the parts we find difficult, but by understanding them. By listening, acknowledging, and holding them with love and compassion, they begin to soften. Over time, we feel more balanced, grounded, and able to move through life with greater ease.
