Yes, my artwork is amazing 😂 I’m doing my best as a stick-person artist!
I’ve had clients share that they weren’t quite sure what therapy actually looks like — or how approaches like parts work can really help them feel better. So, I drew this little diagram and thought I’d share it here too.
Often, when we’re struggling with things like anxiety, low confidence, or low self-worth, it can feel like these parts completely take over — like they are who we are. But they’re not. Beneath all of that, there’s a core self that’s kind, compassionate, calm, and steady.
Therapy helps us reconnect with that self — not by pushing away the parts we find difficult, but by understanding them. By listening, acknowledging, and holding them with love and compassion, they begin to soften. Over time, we feel more balanced, grounded, and able to move through life with greater ease.
