What a beautiful day in Skegness
We went by the beach, a little look around the shops, had a flutter in the amusements and obviously had to have fish and chips by the sea shore! Thank you to the residents and staff who made it such a great day.

The Activity Coordinator's Easter Chick came to visit the baby chicks 😍😍😍

Thomas delivered chocolate treats to our residents whilst at our Good Fun Friday Event.
Our lovely residents came down for hot cross buns and a cup of tea whilst Thomas ran around trying to find the chocolate he'd given out.

We've had a lovely few weeks in craft making dining room centre pieces, to having our baby chicks in for cuddles at coffee mornings and a visit from the Easter Chick 🐣

You're seeing DOUBLE 🐥🐥🐥🐥🐥🐥
Not happy with just one set of chicks we had another delivery of eggs which all hatched within 24 hours.

What a difference a week makes. The chicks on the left are a week old and look how much they've grown! The chicks on the right are a day old.

We've loved having the chicks with friends and family visiting as well to see and handle our fluffballs. 😍

It has also proved to have a positive impact on mental health and well-being within the scheme for the past few weeks. Our residents have really enjoyed checking in on the chicks and volunteered to help with feeding and cleaning out the viewing container 🐤

The chicks will be with us until Thursday 24th April so feel free to pop by for a cuddle in the lounge by the eggs it.

Our chick eggs have arrived and are due to hatch any day now.

We received these from Living Eggs who run this 10 day programme to offer a hands-on, educational experience for people to witness the hatching of chicks and learn about life cycles, while also encouraging social interaction, empathy, and engagement. They're also very cute 😍

Look out for our chick updates and feel free to visit to see and handle our chicks once hatched. 🐣

We had a lovely afternoon saying a fond farewell to Mia the Activities Co-ordinator. Of course we had to play a round of Musical Bingo 🎵➖️🏠

Last week our lovely Joan celebrated her 102nd Birthday!!! 💚

One of the kindest souls you’ll ever meet! She didn’t want a party or anything big just an afternoon with friends and cake (specifically one with marzipan), and that’s exactly what she got! The wonderful friends she’s made at Humber showed up in force with cards and gifts and celebrated her all afternoon- with a glass of wine of course!
