🩺 March is , a time to focus on men’s health and the importance of early detection. At Vale Wellness, we’re here to offer support, guidance, and resources for every step of the journey.

Why early intervention matters:
✅ Early detection can save lives – regular check-ups and screenings can catch prostate cancer before symptoms appear.
✅ Awareness of risk factors – age, family history, and lifestyle choices all play a role.
✅ Support is available – from medical guidance to mental and emotional health resources.

How we can support you:
🌱 Providing information on symptoms, screenings, and treatment options.
🌱 Offering guidance for patients and their families throughout diagnosis and recovery.
🌱 Encouraging conversations about men’s health and reducing stigma.
Remember, talking about prostate health isn’t just important- it’s lifesaving. Schedule a check-up, know the signs, and support the men in your life.
Together, we can make early intervention the norm, not the exception.

This International Women’s Day, we’re highlighting the importance of advancing women’s health. 🩺

Until 1993, women were largely excluded from many clinical trials, meaning much of modern medicine was developed using predominantly male data.

The effects of this are still seen today. Research shows that women spend around 25% more of their lives in poor health compared to men, a disparity often referred to as the “gender health gap.”

Improving outcomes for women requires continued research, greater awareness, and healthcare that recognises the unique needs of women at every stage of life.

Big news for women’s health in Wales 💬🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

The Welsh Government has announced they’re making women’s health a national priority for the next 10 years - introducing Women’s Health Hubs, investing in research, and improving education to support earlier diagnosis and better care.
This marks a significant step forward in ensuring women’s symptoms are heard, understood and treated sooner.

Vale Wellness is proud to support this shift towards more accessible, informed and personalised women’s healthcare across Wales.

This week, the Vale Wellness team were proud to attend another session - combining intelligent resistance training with meaningful social connection. Two powerful pillars of both physical and mental wellbeing. 🧠💪🏽

Lagree is a low-impact, high-intensity method that builds muscular strength, stability and endurance while protecting joints. Clinically, we know that maintaining muscle mass is essential for:
• Reducing falls risk
• Supporting metabolic health and increasing resting metabolic rate
• Lowering generalised inflammation
• Improving bone density and balance
• Enhancing insulin sensitivity

Strength training isn’t about aesthetics, it is foundational to healthy ageing and long-term vitality. Equally important is the social connection that comes from moving together.
Community-based exercise has been shown to support mood regulation, reduce stress, and improve overall psychological wellbeing.
Strength is an investment in your future health and our team can definitely say “we are stronger when we train together.” 🌿
