Today at Wempowered CIC, our Exercise on Music class with Rose was something truly special ππΆ
Held during half term, the room was beautifully full β women, mums, children, and even some of our amazing children with special needs all coming together to move, laugh and connect. The energy was uplifting from the very first song!
What made today especially heartwarming was seeing a mother and her young daughter exercising side by side. π Watching them copy the same moves, giggle together, and encourage one another was such a powerful reminder of why we do what we do. When children see their mums prioritising movement and wellbeing, they learn that taking care of their bodies is normal, joyful and important. Healthy habits arenβt just taught β theyβre modelled.
Instilling a love for movement at a young age builds confidence, resilience and positive body awareness. It shows children that exercise isnβt about pressure or perfection β itβs about feeling good, being strong, and having fun. πΈ
Rose brings such a warm, kind and inclusive approach to every session. She doesnβt just lead an exercise class β she creates a safe and welcoming space for women and children alike. Her gentle encouragement makes everyone feel seen and capable, whether itβs a mum returning to movement or a little one trying their first dance steps.
One of the most beautiful moments today was when a young child was invited to join Rose at the front of the room. π Her face lit up with pride and excitement! She followed the moves confidently, and the whole room cheered her on. That small moment of inclusion meant the world β building confidence, joy and a sense of belonging.
Days like today remind us that wellbeing is for the whole family. Movement, music, laughter and community β all in one room. ππ½β¨
Thank you, Rose, for leading with heart. And thank you to every mum and child who made today so special. Thank you for supporting this much needed service! We canβt wait for the next one!
