😠 Why Won't This Elbow Pain Go Away? (It's a Tendon Problem!)
If you have stubborn pain on the outside of your elbow when gripping, lifting, or shaking hands, you might have Tennis Elbow.

As a BSc Qualified Exercise and Rehabilitation Specialist, I know that treating tendons requires patience and specific loading, not just rest or endless stretching.

The Problem: Tennis Elbow is typically not inflammation but degeneration of the tendon tissue due to chronic, repetitive overload (lifting, gripping, typing).

The tendon tissue is weak and disorganized.
My Solution: Targeted Load & Rebuilding

Tissue Release: Targeted sports massage to relax the overworked forearm muscles that are constantly pulling on the painful tendon attachment.

Assessment: We identify why the muscles are tight (Is it poor shoulder stability? Grip technique?).

Eccentric Rehab: I give you a custom program focused on eccentric strengthening (exercises where you control the muscle as it lengthens). This is the only way to rebuild and reorganize the tendon tissue structure for long-term relief.

👉 Call to Action
Stop suffering with every grip and lift. Tendon issues need professional guidance.
Book your Initial Elbow & Forearm Assessment this week to start your rebuilding program.
Available Mon/Tue/Wed evenings and Saturday!

🛑 Why Your Stiff Back Keeps Coming Back (It could be a Stability Issue!)

If your lower back always feels tight and stiff, you're probably stretching it and finding it only offers 20 minutes of relief. As a BSc Qualified Rehab Specialist, I can tell you: that tightness is often protection, not the problem itself!

Your back is stiff because your deep core and glute muscles aren't switching on effectively to stabilize your pelvis and spine. Your superficial back muscles tighten up to do the job instead!

This is especially common for:
Desk Workers: Who lose deep core connection from prolonged sitting.
Lifters: Who push heavy weight without proper bracing mechanics.

My Approach to Fixing Back

Pain:
My goal is to stop the cycle of pain and stiffness, using evidence-based methods that go beyond a quick rub:

Deep Release: Targeted sports massage to calm down the overworking, stiff back muscles.

Core Activation: A full assessment to identify which stabilizers (like your transverse abdominis or glute medius) are weak.

Specific Rehab Plan: A bespoke plan if needed.

⚡ Sciatic Pain is a SYMPTOM. I Find the CAUSE. (BSc Rehab Specialist)

That sharp, shooting pain down your leg or deep in your buttock is often mislabelled as "Sciatica." Sciatica is the symptom—the nerve irritation—but we need to find the cause to truly fix it!
As a BSc Qualified Exercise and Rehabilitation Specialist, I focus on the two main culprits:

The Piriformis Muscle (The Hip Culprit): For many, the sciatic nerve passes directly through or under the Piriformis muscle in the buttock. If this muscle is tight (often due to prolonged sitting or unbalanced training), it can compress the nerve.

The Lower Back (The Spinal Culprit): Nerve compression can also come from stiffness or disc irritation in the lower lumbar spine. This requires careful assessment to distinguish from Piriformis Syndrome.

My Solution: Targeted Release & Nerve Decompression. My 60 minute session includes both advanced manual therapy and evidence-based exercises to calm the nerve down and stop the irritation.

Deep Tissue Work: Targeted release of the Piriformis and surrounding glutes.

Nerve Flossing: Specific movements to gently mobilize the nerve and reduce sensitivity.

Root Cause Rehab: A customized plan to correct the pelvic stability or spinal mechanics causing the compression.

Don't live with nerve pain. It is treatable with the right approach.

Book your Initial Sciatic Pain Assessment (60 min slot) this week and get a clear, effective plan for long-term relief.

I have availability Mon/Tue/Wed evenings and Saturday.

🚨 Arm Tingling & Numbness? It Might Be Your Neck! (BSc Rehab Specialist)
If you feel sharp pain, numbness, or pins and needles shooting down your shoulder or arm, you might have a trapped nerve (cervical radiculopathy) originating right in your neck.

This isn't just muscle tension—this is nerve irritation that needs a professional, evidence-based approach.

The Two Biggest Causes I See:
Forward Head Posture: Forcing your head forward (looking at a phone or monitor) closes the small spaces where the nerves exit your spine. This literally pinches the nerve root.

Overworking Muscles: Extremely tight neck muscles (like the scalenes or upper traps) can put excessive pressure on the nerves running down your arm.

My Approach is to Decompress Your Nerve:
My 60-minute sessions focus on restoring space and calming the irritated nerve. I don't just work on your traps—I address the mechanics of your entire neck and shoulder girdle:

Deep Tissue Release: Targeted work on the tight, overprotective muscles that are pulling your posture forward.

Decompression Exercises: Specific movements (like the Chin Tuck) to gently improve spinal alignment and open the nerve pathways.

Ergonomic Advice: Advise you on simple adjustments at your desk or during training to prevent the issue from returning.

👉 Call to Action
Don't ignore tingling and numbness. Stop the nerve irritation now!

❌️Runner's Knee? It's NOT a Knee Problem (BSc Rehab Specialist)
That sharp pain around your kneecap is the most common running injury I treat.

But as a BSc Qualified Exercise and Rehabilitation Specialist, I can tell you the pain is rarely coming from the knee itself.
The real problem? Your Hips & Glutes!
When your hip stabilizing muscles are weak, they allow your knee to slightly collapse inward with every single step. After thousands of steps, that repetitive misalignment causes friction and pain in your knee joint.

A quick rub of the quad only offers temporary relief. My approach fixes the root cause:
Release: Targeted sports massage to calm the irritated tissues.

Assess: A full movement screen to find the hidden weakness in your hip/glute chain.

Rehab: A tailored, evidence-based plan using my (BSc) knowledge to strengthen the muscles that stabilize your running gait.

🔑 The 3-Minute Warm-Up That Saves My Back (BSc Approved!)

As a competitive Powerlifter & Strongwoman athlete, I know the difference between a minor tweak and a session-ending injury. My BSc in Exercise & Rehab taught me that stability starts in the hips, especially before a heavy squat or deadlift.

If you skip your warm-up, your glutes might not fire properly, forcing your lower back to take all the strain. Don't let a tight hip cost you a new Personal Record (PR)!

Here are the 3 moves I always perform to ensure my hips are ready to handle heavy weight:
Move 1: Banded Glute Bridge - 2x10 reps
Move 2: 90/90 Hip Internal Rotations - 10 reps per side x2 rounds
Move 3: Hip Flexor Activation - 5 seconds hold, 5 reps per side x2 rounds

Need Help Fixing Your Form or Pain?
I blend my athletic experience with my clinical knowledge to provide targeted sports massage and bespoke rehab plans.

Drop me a message to get booked in.
