"100% recommend, I wanted to say thank you and pass a message to all the team that they were amazing bringing Patrick into the world! He was very comfy and so lots of the team looked after us while we were there, everyone was so kind, caring and skilled making me feel reassured and safe throughout even when things didnt go to plan (long induction ending in forceps delivery).

I've forgotten some names 🙈 but shout out to midwives Ella, Tyne, Perpetual, Noori, Saffy, Kate, Laura, Emily. Doctors Jo, Jennifer and Assia. All of the theatre staff and anaesthetists especially Ian putting in my epidural haha. SCBU were amazing especially Jess.

Special thanks to Rachel in the Early Pregnancy Unit too who helped us last year and reassured us at the start this pregnancy. We can't thank you all enough, you're all amazing! Patrick is doing great 🥰"

📢 Postnatal Contraception is available every Saturday morning at both North Tyneside and Wansbeck Antenatal Clinics! 😀

👩‍⚕️No appointment needed, come along with your new arrival (siblings are welcome too!) and chat to your midwife about your options and receive your contraception - all sorted in one visit 👍

We can offer:
☑️ Mini Pill
☑️ Contraceptive Implant
☑️ Contraceptive Injection

🤱 All of our postnatal contraception is progesterone-only and is suitable as soon as you have given birth.

⌚ 9am - 1pm

"The most amazing induction experience with the best midwives I could’ve wished for. I read so many horror stories on induction but I’d never of went against what was recommended by my consultant & it really couldn’t have went better.

The birthing centre was very busy which meant there was a delay in the induction process from the gels to breaking my waters but that absolutely couldn’t have been helped.

Catherine & Eve, the midwives that took care of me were outstanding, I couldn’t of wished for better midwives, they both went above & beyond & Eve bringing our baby girl safely into this world is something we’ll never, ever forget.

Thank you so much to the birthing centre team. 💖"

We have made some changes to next week's class schedule to make sure we can fit everything in before Christmas! Please read the information below.

Classes running as normal this week - spaces are still available:

🟣 Wednesday 10th Dec, 7pm - Considerations for a Caesarean Birth
🟣 Thursday 11th Dec, 6pm - Postnatal Care

🟣 Wednesday 17th Dec, 6pm - Fit for Pregnancy, Labour and Birth

"I’ve had all three of my babies here and each time has been a wonderful experience. I went in to get induced on the 5th of August 2025 and safely delivered my little girl in the early hours of the morning on the 7th of August.

The midwives here are outstanding and I couldn’t thank them all enough for how amazing they are. I’d like to thank Rebecca H who first seen to us when we came in at 6:30 that night to be induced, she was with us a short time before she went off shift but was so lovely and explained everything to us well. Natalie D for looking after me during the first night we were there. She made me feel so at ease and comfortable. Beth C for looking after me the following day. Beth was amazing with me especially when my contractions started coming on. A big thank you to Alison J who took over my care & was with us till after I delivered my baby girl, Freya. I was worried through delivery and not once did she leave my side and reassured me all the way, holding my hand and sticking by me during theatre while my husband got his scrubs on. Not once did I feel alone through what felt like a difficult delivery.

A big thank you to everyone at PAU & in theatre for getting me through it. And a shoutout to the midwives here from, if my memory is right, Ghana (I hope I’m correct) who were all outstanding ladies from start to finish. My little girl is one month old now and thriving. Thank you to you all, you really are superhero’s ❤️
