At Orchard End Surgery, we think it’s an opportunity to reach out to you 🫵 men . Did you know that men die on average 4.5 years earlier than women, and for largely preventable reasons?

5 things worth knowing about men’s health

1. Stay connected
Spending time with your friends is good for you. Catch up regularly, check in and make time.
Talk about what’s really going on. Listen. Being there for someone can be lifesaving.

2. Aged 40-74 ? Book in for a free NHS health check
- includes height, weight, blood pressure , finger prick cholesterol and diabetes plus smoke stop support.
It takes 30 minutes and could save your life !
Clinics run throughout Kent. Go to Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust or Call ☎️ 0300 1231220

3. Be prostate aware
Go to Prostate Cancer UK and check out their page on PSA testing which gives balanced advice on the pros and cons of testing.

4. Know thy nuts 🧆
Check yourself regularly and get to know what’s normal for you. Something doesn’t seem right? Go to the doctor.

5. Move more 🩺🚶‍♂️🏃🚴🏌️
Get active on a daily basis. Do more of what makes you feel good.
