Meet Rikasa Rajab, our devoted care worker at Hartley House Care Home.

We are deeply inspired by Rikasa’s extraordinary commitment to supporting one of our deaf residents. While our care home manager, took the proactive step of purchasing Makaton cards to improve communication, Rikasa went a step further. She took it upon herself to learn Makaton and now spends extra time with the resident, making sure she feels engaged, connected, and supported.

We are incredibly fortunate to have carers like Rikasa. At Eleanor Healthcare Group, we believe in delivering the highest level of care to all our residents and service users.

At our Hartley House care home, we recently delved into a transformative and unique training experience: the Virtual Dementia Tour. This immersive encounter aims to deepen our empathy and support for residents living with dementia. The initiative has proven immensely valuable for our staff, providing them with tangible insights into the daily realities of individuals with dementia.

This initiative by the Hartley House team stands as a cornerstone in our commitment to elevate the standard of care we provide. Even our other care homes have participated in this initiative. By offering our team members a firsthand glimpse into the challenges faced by those living with dementia, we're empowering them to deliver more compassionate and understanding care.
