Downtime is the thing everyone panics about and it’s usually the least dramatic part.
Most treatments don’t come with a “hide for two weeks” warning. They come with a bit of swelling, maybe a tiny bruise if you’re unlucky, and then… life carries on.
A lot of people go back to work the next day and genuinely nobody notices.
Not because they’re lying—because other people are busy thinking about themselves, not scanning your face for micro-changes.
The internet makes recovery look like a full-time job. In real life it’s more like:
❌ drink water, don’t touch it, sleep normally, get on with your day
Yes, you can get a bruise. Yes, you might feel a bit puffy.
But “downtime” is often just “I’m aware of it because it’s my face.”
Everyone else? Doesn’t clock it.
So if you’ve been avoiding treatments because you’re picturing a dramatic disappearing act—breathe.
Most of the time, it’s subtle, manageable, and you’re back to normal routines quickly.
The fear is loud. The reality is usually quiet.
