Yesterday was the shortest day of the year.

If you struggle with Seasonal Affective Disorder, the lack of daylight at this time of year can be particularly difficult.

The good news is that, from next week, the days will start to get longer, and before you know it, the signs of spring will start to appear.

There’s always a light at the end of the tunnel.

If you're struggling with low mood or depression, please get in touch. You deserve to feel the sun come out again in your life. ☀️

Christmas is the most wonderful time of the year; I’m sure we’ve all heard that!

And I'm sure we've all seen it on social media too! Piles of presents, extravagant decorations, and big smiling families around a laden table create the illusion of a 'perfect Christmas'.

I want to reassure you that it's completely normal if your Christmas doesn't look like this. In fact, for many of us, Christmas can actually be a really difficult time. And all our usual worries, like money, loneliness, isolation, and grief, can all be exacerbated by the festive season.

I wanted to remind you to be gentle with yourself this season, to make time for yourself and your emotions.

Did you see my post earlier this week about Glossophobia? (AKA the fear of public speaking!)

Here's a testimonial from a lovely client of mine whose fear of public speaking had been giving them overwhelming anxiety.

I'm very proud to say that after our session, my client left feeling empowered, in control and ready to give the most awesome talk.

After, they were so pleased and sent this message, so excited to give more talks (without letting glossophobia hold them back)! 📣

If the thought of standing up and addressing a crowd of people sends you into a panic, you aren't alone! 📣

Glossophobia - the fear of public speaking - is a widespread and common phobia which ranges from slight nervousness to debilitating panic and anxiety.

It can cause you to sweat, shake, have a dry mouth, an increased heart rate, upset stomach, or even forget to breathe.

It's not a problem if you avoid public speaking situations, but what if your job requires it, and what's standing between you and that promotion is a big presentation? Or your friend is getting married, and you want to give a speech?

You don't have to let a fear of public speaking hold you back from achieving your goals. Get in touch and I can help. 💜

Are you just existing? Or are you living your life 100%?
I call it 100% Awesome!

Your present can have whatever colour wrapping you want and whatever bow you want; it is yours to look after - take care of it, treasure it, value it.

Make your present the best possible, not just for yourself now, but for your future self too and those you care about. Self-care is not selfish. It is your responsibility.

If any behaviour patterns are harming your present, we can change those. Whether that is:

➡️ Anxiety
➡️ A bad habit
➡️ Poor relationship with food, alcohol, or a person
➡️ Past experiences

We can't change the past, but we can ask our subconscious to file memories in a better place and detach from the negative emotions for a better quality of life. This doesn't mean it's okay that it happened, but rather that it happened, and I’m allowed to be okay.

So if you look after your present and value yourself 100%, you will then be living 100% and giving 100% to those you love and care about. Like unconditional love, the more you have, the more you can give; it never depletes.

Growing with Grief 🌱💜 is the theme for this year's Grief Awareness Week.

Losing a loved one feels like an ending in many ways, but over time, it can also become the foundation from which something new begins.

If you are struggling with grief and the emotions that come with it, like guilt, anger and sadness - I want to remind you that I'm here and that getting help to move forward doesn’t mean you no longer care. It is not about getting over a loss; moving on in life is expanding your life around the loss. The loss will always be a part of your life going forward, but it doesn’t have to hold you back.

I also want to add that grief is not just about death; it is about loss. This can be loss of relationships, pets, jobs, opportunities, circumstances, or even your health and mobility. When dealing with grief, it is not about getting over a loss. It is about expanding your life around the loss.

Please get in touch if you are dealing with grief in any way and need a hand finding your way again 💜
