Are you looking to make a positive impact on your workforce in 2026?

Whether encouraging your staff to make some lifestyle changes, becoming more active, quit smoking, or offering alcohol advice and information.

The new year is the perfect time to support your team.

---------------------------------------------------------

Crawley Wellbeing is continuing its workplace health programme this year, offering support to anyone who lives or works in Crawley—particularly small and medium-sized enterprises.

How can we help?

Health MOTs:

A 35-minute appointment to discuss any health concerns or goals. This includes a full body composition analysis using Tanita scales (BMI, body fat, muscle mass, hydration, visceral fat) and a blood pressure check. It’s also an opportunity to start conversations around quitting smoking, reducing alcohol intake, or finding support for issues such as caring responsibilities or mental health.

NHS Health Checks:

A 45-minute appointment for those aged 40–74 with no history of cardiovascular disease. We measure height, weight, cholesterol, and blood pressure, combined with lifestyle questions, to calculate your heart age and your 10-year risk of stroke or heart attack.
Presentations

Interactive sessions (45–60 minutes) on topics like nutrition, menopause, sleep and relaxation, men’s health, and diabetes. These can be delivered on-site or remotely via Teams.

Mobile Unit Visits:

Available for a full or half day, allowing staff to drop in for a 15-minute mini Health MOT and learn more about Crawley Wellbeing services.

Crawley Community Awards 2026

Nominations are now open for this year’s Crawley Community Awards.

The awards are hugely popular and a clear reflection of the wonderful community spirit that exists in Crawley and the appreciation local people have for those who go the extra mile to make a difference to their community.

Nominations are welcome for groups and individuals across the 15 categories from Achievement to Volunteering. You may make as many nominations in as many categories as you wish. Nominators don’t need to live in Crawley but nominees must either live, work, volunteer or study in the town or provide a service open to Crawley residents outside the immediate area. The deadline for entries is midnight on 10 April.

If you know an individual, group or organisation that deserves recognition for their efforts or their work in our community, please take a few minutes to complete a nomination. Visit https://orlo.uk/TSGOO

Are you, or know someone that is, a resident of West Green, Crawley?

West Green Studios Resident Artist, Maija Handover is inviting West Green residents to take part in West Green Wonder, a community research project that asks West Green residents to identify West Green's strengths.
The strengths, assets and talents within our neighbourhoods support resident health and wellbeing. The people who live in places know them best and play a vital role in identifying these.
For her Creative Health Masters dissertation, Maija is interested in finding out what West Green residents think are West Green’s strengths, talents or assets.
She is also interested to find out if identifying these and marking them on a map together affects how residents feel about where they live.
The results will be shared with local services with the aim of it informing similar activities for the whole West Green community and even other wards.
The participatory sessions are scheduled for:

- Group session 1: 25 February - 6.00 - 7.30pm
- 3 x optional West Green community walks: Sat 7 March 11am, Weds 11 March midday and Sat 21 March 11am
- Group session 2: 25 March - 6.00 - 7.30pm

If you are interested scan the QR code for participant information or email Maija at maija.handover.24@ucl.ac.uk
