Yesterday’s self-defence session for students at South Cheshire College in collaboration with the Cheshire Constabulary was such a powerful and inspiring experience 💜
This class was proudly inclusive of our LGBTQ+ community, welcoming women, men, non-binary, trans, and gender-diverse individuals, because everyone deserves to feel safe, confident, and empowered in their everyday lives.
We focused not just on physical techniques, but on something just as important: awareness. Learning how to spot early signs of danger, trust your instincts, and set boundaries can often help you avoid a situation before it escalates. Self-defence isn’t only about reacting it’s about recognising, preventing, and protecting yourself in a way that works for you.
Building these skills can make a real difference. Confidence grows, fear reduces, and you begin to carry yourself differently, stronger, more aware, and more in control.
A huge thank you to everyone who attended and supported each other in such a respectful and empowering space. You showed that self defence is for everybody, and everybody deserves to feel safe 🛡️
If you’re thinking about joining a future session, know that you will be welcomed exactly as you are.
