Health Matters.
Pain tolerance

In some recently published research, Anders Pedersen Årnes , PT, MPH, research fellow and advisor at the University Hospital of North Norway, affiliated with the University of Tromsø, observed that regular exercise may raise the threshold for pain tolerance in people suffering with chronic pain.

The study involved more than 10,000 people over an eight year time span. There were a number of conclusions drawn from the study; those who consistently took part in moderate to vigorous exercise regimens benefited the most. It was also noted that even light exercise had a beneficial knock-on effect. Ultimately, anything is better than nothing and regular activity is better that occasional bouts.

Hope this helps. If it doesn’t, we are here to do the hands-on bit to get you to where you want to be
