🌙 Friday the 13th: The Day of the Goddess
Forget the superstitions and the "bad luck" tropes. Historically, Friday the 13th wasn’t a day to hide; it was a day to honor the Goddess. 🌹
The roots of this day are deeply tied to feminine power, nature, and creation:
The Moon & Cycles: There are 13 lunar cycles in a year, traditionally mirroring the 13 biological cycles of the female body. In ancient cultures, the number 13 was sacred to the Earth Mother.
Venus Day: The word "Friday" comes from Frigg’s Day (the Norse Goddess of motherhood) or is associated with Venus/Aphrodite (the Goddess of love and beauty).
The Shift: As patriarchal structures rose, these sacred feminine symbols—the moon, the number 13, and the power of the Goddess—were rebranded as "unlucky" or "evil" to discourage their worship.
Reclaiming the Energy
Today is about intuition, creativity, and flow. It’s a day to trust your gut and celebrate the cycles of life rather than fearing the unknown.
How to celebrate today:
Trust your intuition: Your "gut feeling" is your inner Goddess speaking.
Self-Care: Honor your body (the ultimate vessel of creation).
Reflect: Look at the cycles in your life. What is blooming? What is shedding?
🕯 I felt the Goddess within myself today 🗝🌹
