Weโ€™re absolutely thrilled to be taking part in this yearโ€™s St Maryโ€™s, Nantwich Christmas Tree Festival, in partnership with St Lukeโ€™s Cheshire Hospice.

This Thursday November 20th, weโ€™ll be decorating our tree with sparkle, warmth, and a touch of Oxleyโ€™s magic โ€” ready to join over 50 beautifully adorned trees in this enchanting annual display.

We hope everyone who visits St Maryโ€™s enjoys the festive forest and begins to feel that unmistakable seasonal sparkleโ€ฆ

After the festival, our tree will make its way to our Crewe Office, where we hope it will offer comfort and joy to all our families throughout the season.

Itโ€™s beginning to look a lot like Christmas ๐ŸŽถ๐ŸŒŸ

We were honoured to take part in Malbank High Schoolโ€™s โ€˜Future Focusโ€™ event, where Aaron met with pupils from Year 10 to Year 13 to explore career pathways and share insights into the meaningful work we do at Oxleyโ€™s.

Aaronโ€™s session offered a hands-on glimpse into the funeral profession. He spoke about his own journey and the values that guide our work, led students through an interactive activity on arranging and directing a funeral, and introduced the many roles that exist within the industryโ€”from stonemasons and Celebrants to those working behind the scenes to support families with care and dignity.

The session also explored our deep connection to the community and the importance of empathy, professionalism, and tradition in everything we do. Students were engaged, curious, and thoughtful throughout, asking insightful questions and taking part in a closing activity designed to reflect on what theyโ€™d learned.

We believe in investing in the future workforce and opening doors to careers that make a real difference.

Ben was the beloved husband of Christine, Pops to Shirley and Jamie, a beloved brother to John, Andy, Joey, Ally, as well as the late Susan and the late Pat. Ben was also a proud grandfather to Amy and the late Aaron.
