It’s always great to get high quality education, particularly when it is on the doorstep

Yesterday put in a full day of education around microneedling. It almost seems counterintuitive that it is used to treat pigmentation disorders, but it is a useful adjunct along with the right skincare products.
The grounds and interior of Crewe Hall were beautiful as always.

😀It was a pleasure to welcome from to today.

🧐ESK stands for Evidence Based Skin Care which is a fairly new brand of skincare to the UK. I first came across the brand through a colleague in the aesthetics industry. Then after trying out some of the products on myself began recommending it to skincare clients.
🧴What I really like about this brand is the emphasis on the ingredients. I have found that it pairs nicely with clinic treatments such as peels. I have seen good results so far in skin of colour.
There are cleansers, active products and sunscreen which come in a range of sizes.
If you are looking for a skincare regimen for a range of issues then booking a consultation to help guide you through the process is worth considering.

📑The and organised a fantastic conference this week.

🌍 The Trichology World Conference was a really well organized, educational yet fun 2 day event at the Royal College of Physicians in London. Around 200 delegates from at least 18 countries attended.

👩🏽‍🏫Lectures from a wide range of backgrounds provided inspiration for hair loss practitioners.

🙏🏾I was very humbled to receive specific acknowledgement from one of the speakers themaeclinic in her excellent presentation on what is possible with hair transplant surgery for straight, wavy or afro-textured hair.

✅There were so many excellent speakers who covered topics including how hair Loss affects quality of life, identification and management of Hair Loss from a UK dermatologist perspective. Charlotte Lucas gave a really comprehensive overview of gut health and eating for healthy hair. Other topics covered included, Exosomes, stem cells, hair, follicle, Banking, laser, hair therapy, decision-making for hair transplant, and/or treatment, epidemiology of alopecia, Arriata, and the exciting potential of collaborations between Trichologist and other hair professionals.

👋🏾 it was great to see some of my fellow students from the Institute of Trichologist class of 2012, as well as UK conference colleagues, old and new ( ).

🎪As always, it was great to catch up with the team and I’m so excited to try out their new hair oil and supplements which compliments their hair recovery programme. Also great to reconnect with other clinic partners .pharmacy and see what is coming in the future.

👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾Many congratulations to the organizers and their support for making these 2 days so wonderful.

Help for hair loss, scalp problems and skin concerns

We intuitively know that hair can be a marker of health and wellbeing, yet problems with the hair and scalp are often thought of as simply cosmetic. This is unfortunate, because hair is a major source of identity and confidence, and people find that their styling options are limited.

This business grew out of the observation that most GPs only get a few days training in skin and hair conditions, and it can be challenging to find trustworthy sources of information. The business owner has combined the experience gained from being an NHS GP in England and training in trichology to produce a one stop shop for hair loss. The clinic recognises the additional issues for afro-textured hair and encourages early seeking of advice to ensure that hair is not permanently lost.

The clinic is also a TrendCo wigs outlet.

Keeping updated in the field is a major part of the business ethos, and networking with peers from the worlds of dermatology, trichology, hairdressing and cosmetic science is the foundation of the clinic.
