Christmas isn’t “Happy, Merry or Bright” for everyone and can just feel too much or overwhelming.

For that reason I would like to wish everyone peaceful, calm and warm seasons greetings.

Remember to put in some self care for yourself, whatever that looks like. I’m going to take a few days off and be sure to curl up with a delicious cup of tea or coffee.

The festive season is fast approaching 🎄Christmas can bring so much joy, but it can also be a time of huge stress. If you have any tips on how to cope through the festive period, when things get a bit too intense, pop them in the comments.

Although stress isn't a mental health condition, the two are closely related – stress can lead to poor mental health, and poor mental health can cause stress. Find out more about stress and how to look after yourself on our website💙

Boundaries are an important part of our lives. It’s not being selfish towards others, it’s being kind to ourselves and keeping ourselves safe. Many of us allow others to over step our boundaries because we don’t know how to cope with not upsetting them, especially when it’s someone we care about.

I saw this and I thought it was a helpful tool.

Boundaries and Addiction

What Are Boundaries?
We hear a lot about people with addictions having problems with boundaries, but it is not always clear what is meant by the term boundaries. What are boundaries, and what do they have to do with relationships?

Answer:

In the literal sense of the word, a boundary is a dividing line that seperates one area from another. Although a boundary can be clearly marked by a fence or a road, it is never entirely clear exactly where one area ends and the other begins. In a similar way, when we use the word boundaries to describe limits and rules in relationships, some honest judgement is needed to decide which behaviours "cross the line." And herein lies the difficulty that people with addictions and their loved ones have with boundaries in relationships.

Simply put, boundaries are limits to what is acceptable or can be tolerated in any relationship including family and friendships. Boundaries are very individual, but people with addictions and those close to them often have problems with setting and sticking to boundaries in relationships.

Take a look at our album under 'photos' and consider joining our membership subscribers group for further boundary setting suggestions and support.

We were delighted with the news that grief education will be included in the national English curriculum from 2026. This reflects the importance of grief education, and marks a shift in the way that society talks more openly about death, dying and bereavement. We will continue to work with education professionals to build their confidence around bereavement.
