This will be a day of tuning in and an opportunity to reset the nervous system, it will be an opportunity to really slow down and enjoy the beautiful day.

Imbolc Celebrations

A beautiful day celebrating Imbolc, celebrating the turning of the wheel, sharing and connecting in nature.
It was a day of connecting with each other, honouring our ancestors and embracing the rhythm of the seasons.
Whittling, crafting and spending time reflecting in the hammock.
There is something so beautiful sitting around a fire with other like minded folk.
Forever grateful for these wonderful moments in my life.

A lovely morning at the Gardening for Health Group! Standing tall in the middle of the garden is the beautiful Silver Birch, gently protecting and nursing the plants below.
According to the Celtic Tree Calendar the Silver Birch is a tree that is associated with the month of January.
The Silver Birch symbolises renewal, new beginnings and is known to be a pioneer tree.
This beautiful tree is one of our native trees and has many medicinal properties and is great for starting fires due to its natural oils.
It's easy to identify due to its white peeling bark and oval or triangular shaped leaves.
So I gathered up some fallen branches and bark ready for our Imbolc celebration this weekend.
We let go of the Birch to make way for the Rowan, representing the coming of Spring 🌱🌼

Who was feeling Spring like today?

Today was definitely calm after the storm, and there was a scent of Spring in the air. We are heading towards Imbolc which is the halfway mark between Winter and Spring, meaning the return of the light is getting closer.
Embracing this feeling, I went for a walk and I spotted a Ruby Elf cup or Scarlet Elf cup, it's hard to distinguish between the two with the naked eye. They are so pretty and edible, but this was just for admiring today.
Long may this weather continue however, I know the rain is on its way back so for today I am enjoying this Spring like day 🌞🌱🌱

Another wonderful day at Perth and Kinross Mental Health and Wellbeing Festival today lots of clay creations were made. Squirrels, snails, mice, hedgehogs, birds and dinosaurs.
A lovely day nurturing creativity.

Do you know when you see something once, you see it everywhere!

This is what is happening to me right now! Everywhere I look there is Jelly ears Fungi!
These were huge too, I spent a few minutes just standing there giving them a wobble 😀
Good job I was out of sight as I would have had some strange looks...
You just can't resist it, the wobble urge is real....
Give it a whirl...or a wobble 😀

Isn't this a beautiful picture 🌿❤️

This morning's walk was foggy and still, with a dramatic sun bursting through the trees.
This took my breath away this morning, I thought how beautiful nature is. How giving she is, the beauty she shares with us daily
There was a chorus of bird songs amongst these trees, I felt a deep moment of appreciation for my love of nature.
How lucky I am to feel this way, that I will never tire of this feeling, that I am blessed to see what not everyone sees.
