New Year New You Malarkey!

Happy New Year from Reiki Life HQ, I wish you all a positive and peaceful year ahead.

The energy of 2025 was rather heavy. A struggle for many including me! There were times that no amount of self Reiki or reciting my daily affirmations cleared the heaviness. However, the one thing about living a Reiki Life is it keeps you grounded. It gives you focus. It enables you to concentrate on the important things and to try not to worry about things you cannot control. It teaches you to be kind and compassionate and grateful.

Here we are about to head into a New Year. Spiritually 2026 is widely anticipated to be a year of ‘Great Karmic Reset’ of ‘Powerful New Beginnings’. That definitely says “Out with the old and in with the new” to me. So forget the ‘New Year - New You Malarkey’ instead of resolutions that last a couple of weeks, I would urge everyone just to ‘be a little bit Reiki” and practice kindness, compassion and gratitude each day.

Good afternoon all, what a busy couple of days I've had. I did hope to post on the solstice but the day ran away with itself!

Sunday was of course the Winter Solstice. I watched my grandson participate in the MacRosty junior parkrun in the morning and then foraged for some greenery from around the park to create something for my sacred space at home. I wrote my 13 wishes to meet the New Year with hope and positivity and as I walk towards 2026 will burn one wish/intention each night as is tradition keeping the last one to read on 2nd January and to tend to that one myself. 2026 is the beginning of a new 9 year cycle and I am hopeful the heavy energy of 2025 will be replaced with a much more positive one, let us hope so 🤞

Thank you to everyone who has supported me in my Reiki journey this year. I am truly grateful.
I have been very lucky to have such loyal clients and such lovely feedback.

Real healing has to take place within yourself.
As a trained Reiki Practitioner I can help bring you into a space where you can relax, be quiet and still enough so that you can begin healing yourself. Until you begin unwinding the very things that are causing anxiety, stress, dis-ease, sadness etc, there cannot be any progress.
Reiki is a beautiful healing modality that really works but it requires you to do some inner work yourself in order to return to your true self.

The energy of 2025 has been rather heavy but we are nearing the end of that now and 2026 is the beginning of a new cycle. Spiritually it is widely anticipated to be the Year of The Great Karmic Reset and of New Beginnings. A perfect time to do some positive inner work.

Good afternoon from Reiki Life HQ. I hope you are all well and having a relatively stress free lead up to the big day! My wee shop opening hours are as follows:-
Thursday 18th - Saturday 20th Open 11am-3pm
Monday 22nd CLOSED
Tuesday 23rd and Christmas Eve Open 11am-3pm

The shop will then close for a wee festive break and re-open on Wednesday 7th January.

I always get excited when new items for my wee shop arrive. I guess the child in us all never really goes away!
The latest arrivals are these brass buddha's. I absolutely love them. I think quite possibly the little Buddha head is my favourite thing in the whole shop. He looks so big in the photo but he's actually only 11cms and very heavy! I might just have to keep him for myself 😁

Imagine putting a lampshade over a light bulb, then another and another and another...... eventually the light isn't so bright anymore.
We are all Bright White Lights in this world but we often get dimmed by the lampshades of life - stress, anxiety, trauma, expectation, etc!

Reiki helps to remove the lampshades one by one until our true selves shine once more. Reiki really is a gift, take it one step at a time, trust the process, the journey is worth it 🙏

Et voilà
The Christmas window is complete. I am so pleased I decided to blow the dust off my dolls house and make it 'The Star of the Show" ☺️
There is also a lot of new stock which arrived whilst I was off poorly. I have now managed to price it all up and it is all out. The new stuff includes Christmas room sprays, Christmas incense, Buddha artwork, Macramè wall hangings, brass buddha figures, wellness/mindfulness journals and relaxation beads.
I also have Christmas gift boxes arriving soon. More about them to follow......

Good morning everyone, what a beautiful morning. I am feeling so much better today and am happy to report my wee shop will be open again from tomorrow (Wednesday). I have my Christmas window half done so far, it's still a work in progress! Hubby and I moved the dolls house from home yesterday and boy what a job. It is so heavy it was definitely a two man job. Then I had to secure every item in place so nothing fell over when transferring it into the window, it took me 3 hours! 😵‍💫 However I am delighted with the result and hope you like it too.
