Yesterday we celebrated Earth Day in the most creative way! 🌍🎨

Some of our residents took part in a wonderful art session, painting beautiful designs on canvas inspired by nature. It was a fantastic opportunity to relax, express creativity, and reflect on the importance of caring for our planet.

Our residents had a wonderful start to the day with a lovely visit from Nadia this morning 🌸

The morning began with gentle and relaxing hand massages, creating a calm and soothing atmosphere for everyone. This was followed by some beautiful Egyptian belly dancing, bringing energy and excitement to the room ✨

Some residents couldn’t resist joining in, getting up to dance and enjoy the moment together 💃

Monday brought such a lovely atmosphere to our home as our residents enjoyed a wonderful afternoon of music with Rachel 🎶

There was plenty of singing along, smiles all around, and even some dancing! While many happily swayed and tapped along from their chairs, a few couldn’t resist getting up and dancing the afternoon away 💃

Moments like these truly lift spirits and bring everyone together — a day full of joy, laughter, and great music 💛

A big well done to some of our team who successfully completed their First Aid training today 👏

We’re committed to keeping our knowledge up to date and staying on top of essential training like this, ensuring both our residents and staff remain safe at all times.

There was even a bit of fun along the way, with plenty of practice (and a few laughs!) using bandages as you’ll see in the photos 📸

In 1983, 43 years ago, our resident Pearl participated in the Norfolk Half Marathon. Back to the memories: today Pearl joined Katie to cheer along the spectators and watch the finish line. Step right up… to Tamar House’s very own circus spectacular 🎪✨

Today we celebrated National Circus Day (a day early, but who’s counting?!) and what a show it was! Our amazing manager Katie took on the role of ringmaster while our residents had a go at juggling, the diablo, and even spinning plates — with lots of laughs along the way!

And just when we thought we’d seen it all, Katie wowed us with a magic trick… pulling a teddy bear (not a rabbit! 🧸) out of her hat 🎩✨

So much fun, so many smiles, and plenty of laughter shared by all. A day to remember at Tamar House 💛

Back in February, we had the pleasure of a lovely visit from Louise and Brady — and today we were delighted to see them once again 💛

Louise very kindly opened her home to us, where Katie and Kim took a group of residents along for a wonderful afternoon tea. It was so special to spend time together in such a warm and welcoming setting, and to see her lovely dogs too 🐶

The afternoon only got better when the neighbours kindly invited us over to visit their donkeys and ponies — such a treat for everyone! 🐴

We truly had the most wonderful afternoon making new friends, both human and furry, and creating some very special memories together ✨

We had such a fab session yesterday with Amber and her wonderful music and movement group Twinkle Toes Norfolk 🎶✨

It was so lovely to see so many beautiful children and babies join us — the room was full of energy, laughter, and joy. Our residents absolutely loved every second, with so many smiles shared throughout the session ❤️

Yesterday some of our residents got moving and enjoyed a fantastic exercise session 💪😊

From gentle stretches to light activities, it was wonderful to see them taking part, supporting one another, and having plenty of laughs along the way. Staying active is so important, and our residents truly made the most of it!

Last week was full of creativity, teamwork, and a touch of musical magic 🎶🌿

Our residents proudly took the beautiful bug houses they recently made out into the garden, carefully placing them among the plants to create cosy little habitats for our tiny visitors 🐞🏡 It was wonderful to see everyone’s hard work come to life outdoors!

As if that wasn’t special enough, we were also treated to a lovely visit from Bertie Bow, who filled the home with the soothing sounds of the violin 🎻 The music added such a warm and joyful atmosphere to an already perfect day.

A big thank you to everyone who made it so memorable 💚

Today we enjoyed celebrating Sri Lankan New Year with some of our wonderful staff, ahead of them spending tomorrow with their families. 🇱🇰✨

Manuka kindly made a delicious traditional caramel dessert for everyone to try, which went down a treat! We spent time learning about Sri Lankan traditions and culture, sharing stories and experiences together.

Of course, we couldn’t resist a bit of fun too! We played a game where two staff members were blindfolded and had to feed others yoghurt… as you can imagine, things got a little messy but there were lots of laughs all around! 😄

A lovely way to come together, celebrate culture, and make special memories 💛
