Clemitsons branch opposite the doctors (51 Hope Street) will be CLOSED on Monday 31st March. We will reopen at 8.30am on Tuesday 1st April. Corner Clemitsons will be open as usual.

We are open the usual business hours of 8:30-17:00 at 25a Hope St and 8:30-18:00 at 51 Hope St today. We will reopen at 8:30 on Friday 27th.

On Thursday 20th June, our pharmacy may look a little different as we highlight the national campaign.

Community pharmacies are going through the worst crisis in living memory.

1,400 community pharmacies have closed in the last decade.

10 pharmacies are closing a week, and three quarters of pharmacies are in the red.

We’re asking you to back our campaign to help keep pharmacies open.

Price increases will also apply to Prescription Pre Payment and HRT certificates. Any prescriptions collected on or after May 1st 2024, regardless of prescription issue date, will be charged at the new rate.

Today the NHS is launching an expansion of community pharmacy services. You can now go to a local pharmacy for advice and treatment for seven common conditions and your pharmacist may provide some prescription medicine without you needing to see a GP.

From today, if you or a family member is suffering with a sore throat or sinusitis, an ear infection, an infected insect bite, impetigo, shingles, or even an uncomplicated urinary tract infection – just think, pharmacy first.

This is part of a major plan to make accessing healthcare in your local community more convenient.

By giving people more choice in where and how they access care, it will help to save up to 10 million GP appointments over the next year.
