Equilore is looking for a self-employed EFP/L to join our team. Ideally on Mondays and Fridays.

We are a mental health charity offering 1:1 sessions and alternative provision near Brackley (NN13). We work closely with our herd of 6 horses.

Do you have experience of working with horses, knowledge of SEND and neurodiversity and work in a trauma-informed way?

Are you passionate about horses or looking for a rewarding way to spend your afternoons? Join us at Equilore as a Volunteer Groom and become part of a supportive, purpose driven team making a real difference.

We are currently looking for enthusiastic and reliable volunteers to help on:

📅 Tuesdays & Thursdays
⏰ 3:30 PM – 5:30 PM

What You’ll Be Doing? 🐴

At Equilore our volunteers play a key role in maintaining a calm, safe, and well cared for environment.
Tasks include:
- Preparing stables
- Filling hay nets
- Poo picking paddocks
- Helping maintain fields and the general site
- Assisting with the care and wellbeing of our horses
- Supporting with other yard duties as needed

As we head into the brighter days, we’re excited to share that we now have spaces available in both of our Barn Pals groups. 🌺

Tuesday afternoons 4:00-5:30pm - Wildlife Barn Pals. 🌿🐛
A nature focused adventure While horses are still involved, these sessions explore wildlife and the natural world around the barn.
Children can enjoy wildlife crafts, learning about nature, plants and animals, build dens and have fun!

Friday sessions - 4:00-5:30pm - Original Barn Pals session. 🐴🥕
These sessions focus on all things equine! Focusing on pony are, grooming, basic handling and creative craft activities and outdoor adventures. A hands on way for children to build confidence, learn about horses and how to care for them and just enjoy being outside.

All sessions involve -
- Being outdoors in all weather - we do have an indoor space if needed but we try and stay outside as much as possible.
- Interaction with horses and ponies
- Craft activities and nature exploration.
- Fresh air, friendship and fun!
£25 per session, ages 7+

Amira is back at it again for Equilore! 💛

After completing a sponsored walk for us in January through freezing, frosty, soaking conditions.
She’s now taking on 100 miles throughout March on her bike!

We’re hoping this challenge brings her a little more sunshine this time ☀️🚴‍♀️

Every mile she pedals helps us continue our work supporting children and adults.
