Over the moon to share that this week I completed an 18.5 hour CPD in Parts Work for Trauma 🥳✨ I was first introduced to IFS Therapy (parts work) through my somatic training a couple of years ago… and something in me just lit up. I felt such a deep resonance with this way of understanding ourselves & I knew I wanted to go deeper so I could bring more of it into my work with clients.
WHY PARTS WORK?
Because trauma doesn’t just live as a memory… it lives within the body and psyche as energetic fragmentation. It can create inner conflict, emotional overwhelm and physiological patterns that feel hard to shift (chronic dysregulation)
Parts work reminds us that there are no bad parts 🤍 Every emotion, belief or reactive behaviour pattern you wish would go away is actually a protective part of you trying, in its own way, to keep you safe from deeper, unprocessed wounds.
So when we try to “fix” ourselves with logic or behaviour change… we often only meet the surface because trauma is stored deeper beyond the prefrontal cortex - thinking mind.
When we slow down… listen… and build a relationship with these parts… something magical happens.

We begin to move from inner separation → into wholeness. We create a loving internal family within ourselves 🌹How beautiful and nurturing is that!🌹
When we combine parts work with somatic healing… We don’t just talk about it
We feel, process and release it through the body where the trauma is stored.
Over the past few weeks, I’ve witnessed deeper shifts, insights and releases with clients since bringing this in more.
It truly feels like a beautiful catalyst for trauma recovery within the beautiful web of holistic healing ✨
This work has been such a profound piece in my own healing journey of PTSD & I will forever use my pain to purpose to help others who feel stuck like I once did.
