Arministic Stay Remembrance Day was warmly celebrated at Albany Lodge. Residents gathered together to honour and remember, sharing stories and moments of reflection. The atmosphere soon filled with smiles and music as the D-Dollies arrived to entertain. Their lively singing encouraged everyone to join in, and the room was alive with voices and laughter. It was a meaningful and enjoyable day, bringing together remembrance, community, and joy for all our residents.

We had the sweetest celebration for Francis’ 85th birthday. Surrounded by staff and residents, he was all smiles and full of gratitude. When asked how it feels to be 85, Francis simply said, “I’m living life to the fullest.” What a beautiful reminder for us all. Cheers to Francis: for his wisdom, his kindness, and his joyful spirit that brightens every room. Here’s to many more wonderful moments together. 🎉💛🎂

Sing-Along Fun at Albany Lodge!

Our residents had a fantastic morning enjoying live entertainment and singing along to some of their favorite songs with Jamie!

There were smiles, dancing, and lots of happy memories shared.

Music plays such an important role in supporting wellbeing, especially for those living with dementia. It helps lift spirits, encourages connection, and can spark cherished memories. 💛

🎃 Halloween Fun at Albany Lodge Nursing Home! 👻

The residents of Albany Lodge Nursing Home had a spook-tacular time celebrating Halloween with a fun and creative afternoon of arts and crafts! The activity room was buzzing with excitement as everyone got busy making pumpkin lanterns, paper ghosts, colourful garlands, and hand-painted decorations.

Our wonderful activities coordinators and the receptionist joined in the fun too, helping residents both in the activity room and in their own rooms to take part in the Halloween spirit.

Black History Month Celebration at Albany Lodge! ✨🌍

What an unforgettable day at Albany Lodge Nursing Home! Our Black History Month celebration turned into a joyful, vibrant party that brought together residents and staff from so many different cultures and backgrounds. 🎉

The event kicked off with a beautiful presentation about why we celebrate Black History Month — a time to honour our past heroes, their incredible achievements, and the lasting impact they’ve had on our world today. We talked about what makes us unique, but also what connects us — our shared values, stories, and the love that ties us all together. ❤️

The highlight of the day? Definitely the amazing cultural showcase! Our wonderful team came dressed in colourful traditional outfits and brought along delicious dishes from their own cultures. From mouth-watering aromas to lively conversations, it truly was a feast for the senses. 🍲👗

Laughter filled the room as everyone enjoyed the food, music, and each other’s company. It was a day of unity, pride, and celebration — reminding us that diversity is our greatest strength.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make the day so special — your energy, teamwork, and love made this Black History Month celebration one to remember! 💃🏾🕺🏽🎶
