January is.. Cervical cancer awareness month!

This month, SHARE is focused on awareness, education and support for everyone impacted by cervical cancer.

Cervical cancer is a growth of abnormal cells that starts in the cervix. The good news? It is highly preventable. Regular screenings and the HPV vaccine can help prevent cervical cancer or find it early, when treatment works best.

Not sure when you should be screened? Screening recommendations can vary based on age, health history, and risk factors. A couple days ago on Wednesday the 3rd was International persons with disabilities day, in other words, World disability day. This day is dedicated to celebrating the diverse abilities, resilience and invaluable contributions of people with disabilities worldwide.
