Rowland Brothers International (RBI) has been at the heart of global funeral repatriation since 1971. RBI was established when holiday companies recognised the need for a commercial repatriation strategy to reunite loved ones with their families after a fatal tragedy abroad. Our seventh generation family funeral directors have organised repatriation for families, insurance and assistance companies, corporations, government departments, airlines and funeral directors for over 45 years. Our international repatriation service transports the deceased all over the world from any destination to any destination. Our Accreditations
ITIJ Ancillary Assistance Service Provider of the Year 2016
We have been the official helpline for The National Association of Funeral Directors and its members for 15 years. In June 2016 the company was the first funeral director in the UK to sign the Armed Forces Covenant. Our organisation has been signposted in FCO literature as being one which may be able to provide support and advice to British nationals who need the services of an international funeral director.

If your loved one had strong wishes about their funeral, they would often have shared them. If they didn’t,
please don’t feel burdened by the decision. The choice is yours and there is no “wrong” answer.

It can help to reflect on who they were in life.
Did they feel most at peace in the countryside? A natural burial might feel fitting.

Would having a place to visit bring comfort to you and your family? A burial may offer that sense of
connection.

If you live further away and regular visits would be difficult, cremation can be a practical and equally
meaningful option.

It’s also important to consider cost, so there are no unexpected pressures at an already difficult time. Graves
can be expensive and fees vary by location.

In the Croydon, Bromley and surrounding areas, families typically budget around ÂŁ4,000 for a burial and
around ÂŁ3,000 for a cremation.

These are significant decisions - emotionally and financially. Taking the time to talk them through can bring
clarity and reassurance, helping you choose what feels most appropriate for the person you are honouring
and for those left behind.

November is Men’s Health Awareness Month. Many men don’t talk about health until it’s an emergency, and when tragedy strikes overseas, families are left with logistical and emotional burdens.

This month, we encourage men everywhere to check their health, catch potential issues early, and ensure their loved ones know how to act in a crisis. Because repatriation is never part of a good plan.

A small act of kindness can carry someone through their hardest day.

World Kindness Day is a chance to pause and remember that compassion doesn’t have to be grand, it can be quiet, simple, and real.

At Rowland Brothers International, we see daily how empathy and understanding make a difference, especially when people are grieving or far from home.

At the 11th hour on the 11th day of the 11th month, we remember.

Armistice Day is a moment to honour the end of conflict, to reflect on the cost of war, and to give thanks for those who served and those who never returned home.

Their memory reminds us how fragile peace can be and how important it is to keep it.

Every year on Remembrance Sunday, we pause to reflect on the bravery and sacrifice of those who gave everything in service. Their legacy lives on in the peace we experience today.

As we remember them, we also think of the families who carry those memories forward — a reminder that love and loss are deeply intertwined.

'One of the first questions families often ask is about cost. And it’s understandable, on top of grief, financial worries can feel overwhelming.

The truth is, every repatriation is different, and expenses depend on distance, local regulations, and other practicalities. What never changes, though, is our commitment to transparency and compassion. We’ll always explain the options clearly and guide families through the process.

If you’re worried about repatriation costs, we’re here to talk it through.

Today, we pause to reflect on the impact of Alzheimer’s, a condition that affects millions of people and families worldwide.

Alzheimer’s Awareness Day is a reminder not only of the challenges faced by those living with the condition but also of the importance of compassion, understanding and continued support for families and carers.

Together, we can raise awareness, break down stigma and ensure no one feels alone on their journey with Alzheimer’s.
