Motherโs Day can be many things.
For some, it is a day of celebration and gratitude.
For others, it carries grief, longing, complicated memories, or quiet reflection.
Days like this often hold many emotions at once, love and loss, gratitude and sadness, connection and distance. Human relationships, especially those between mothers and children, are rarely simple.
For those who are missing a mother, grieving a child, longing to become a parent, navigating estrangement, or carrying complex feelings about family, today may feel heavy. And that is okay.
Your experience of today is valid.
It can help to gently acknowledge whatever emotions are present, rather than pushing them away. Feelings such as grief, anger, longing, or tenderness are natural responses to meaningful relationships and losses.
Wherever you find yourself today, celebrating, remembering, grieving, or simply getting through the day we are holding space for all of it.
Be gentle with yourself.
You deserve compassion too. ๐
