Through the enormous effort and commitment of their staff Randox has equipped over 80,000 sq ft of PCR testing facilities in Northern Ireland, Manchester and Greater London, as well as 50,000 sq ft of supporting logistics and engineering space. Randox has amongst the very largest laboratories in Europe, is the leading testing provider in the UK, and was the first to have reported over 100,000 PCR results in a single day. Randox’s plant in Dungloe has the potential to revolutionise the economy of West Donegal. Currently employing around 120 staff, this facility will expand to 540 by 2020, to include 180 research scientists and engineers. Randox Dungloe will expand as a world-leading diagnostic R&D, engineering and manufacturing site – providing exciting, highly-skilled employment opportunities within the region.
The company is also expanding its public-facing division – Randox Health. There are now clinics across the UK with new ones due to open in LA and Dubai. There is also a unique mobile service throughout the UK and Ireland. Using highly accurate and sensitive blood tests, Randox scientists assess whole body health with the aim of achieving early diagnosis and promoting an advanced, preventative approach to healthcare. Clients are then empowered to take action to prevent illness from developing and stay healthy for longer.
Randox has also become the first healthcare company to sponsor horse-racing, as a vehicle to promote the message of preventive health to a worldwide audience. It is the title sponsor of the world’s most popular jump race – the Randox Health Grand National – which commands an audience of more than 600 million people.
