Yesterday, we were extremely happy to welcome Lewis Cocking MP to Oaks Funeral Home.

It was a privilege to show Lewis and Lesley how the funeral industry works and to talk through every aspect of what we do — from the care we give to people’s loved ones, the specialised service we offer for people’s pets to the support we provide to families during their time with us and even after the funeral has taken place.

We also spoke about the importance of truly knowing your funeral director and feeling confident in the care being provided. This included discussing our Direct Cremations, which have a special, more personal approach, allowing families the opportunity to still say goodbye in a meaningful way.

Thank you, Lewis and Lesley for taking the time to visit and for your interest in the work we do every day to support our community.

Oaks are truly honoured and thankful to all who attended our first Christmas Memorial Service.

The presence of our families means the world to us, especially at such a tender time of year. We hope the service brought you a little strength, comfort, and a sense of togetherness as we remember those we hold close in our hearts.

We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to Revd Tom from St James’ Church, Goffs Oak, for his kindness, support and for helping make the service so meaningful and comforting for everyone who attended.

Our memorial Christmas tree is now up, with all our Oak name tags from last year beautifully displayed.

We will have name tags available at our Christmas Memorial Service on December 14th, or please do get in touch if you wish for us to add a name for you.
