I’m an adult woman with ADHD and I’m learning how to use it wisely✨
with regulation,
with perspective,
and with love.
Right now, I’m unfortunately (and have been for the last 7 years) navigating an experience where my child is struggling within the education system because of his ADHD. Not because of a lack of ability, effort, or intelligence… but because the education system often expects children to fit into a box, a structure, a single way of learning - and not every nervous system does 🧬🧠
The wrong environment can make ADHD look like chaos 💣
The right one can make it look like genius 🧠✌🏽
Same brain.
Different soil. 🌱
This doesn’t feel like it’s about fault.
It feels like it’s about fit.
About understanding that children (and us grown ups) thrive when they are seen, supported, and allowed to learn in ways that truly honour how their brains work.
As a mother, I’m choosing compassion over comparison, curiosity over fear, and advocacy rooted in calm rather than conflict, for my child and for myself.
If you’re walking a similar path, please know;
There is nothing wrong with your child (or you)
There is so much wisdom, creativity, and brilliance here — it simply needs the right conditions to grow 🤍✨
