Red Berry Porridge Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 2 cups almond milk (or any milk of your choice)
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional, for sweetness)
- 1 cup mixed red berries (such as strawberries, raspberries, and red currants)
- 1 tablespoon chia seeds
Instructions:
Prepare the Oats:
- In a medium saucepan, combine the rolled oats and almond milk.
- Bring the mixture to a gentle boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
Add Flavors:
- Once the mixture starts to boil, reduce the heat to low and add the cinnamon and vanilla extract.
- Stir well to combine.
Cook the Porridge:
- Continue to cook the oats on low heat for about 5-7 minutes, or until the oats are soft and have absorbed most of the liquid. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.
- If you prefer a creamier consistency, add a bit more milk as needed.
