Today, on Employee Appreciation Day, we want to say a heartfelt thank you to our amazing NHS practice team. 💙

Your compassion, professionalism and commitment to our patients and community never go unnoticed. Every appointment, every phone call, every follow-up and every small act of kindness makes a real difference.

We are incredibly proud of the care you give and the way you support one another — especially on the busiest and most challenging days.

Thank you for everything you do, today and every day. 🌟

Last week we said thank you and goodbye to our incredible practice nurse Heidi, as she retired after 20 years at our surgery, and an amazing 46 years in the NHS.

Her dedication, compassion and calm presence have meant so much to colleagues and patients alike. She has been a constant source of care, wisdom and kindness, and our surgery is better for having had her.

We wish her a very happy and well-earned retirement, with our deepest thanks and best wishes for the future.

This winter, our MIUs, WICs and UTCs can help assess, diagnose and provide treatment for medical problems that are not critical or life-threatening.

Waiting times are usually shorter and you’ll be seen by highly-qualified practitioners.

Please do come along and chat to me at my listening event later this month. I'm ready to listen to your ideas about what you'd like to see in Cullompton.
Do you have a hobby that you'd like to do but there are no groups for it in the area?
Are you looking for a certain type of support group but you're needing to travel to attend and would like one closer to home?
Do you have an idea for a community event or group and want help getting your idea off the ground?

I can also chat about any of my current projects including community cookery, cancer support group and more, volunteering opportunities or you just want to find out about my role or how we might be able to work together.

MMRV is now part of the NHS routine childhood vaccination programme, replacing the MMR vaccine.

It protects against measles, mumps, rubella and chickenpox.

Chickenpox is very common and can sometimes lead to serious complications, so vaccination helps reduce the risk of serious illness as children grow.

You don’t need to do anything — your GP will be in touch when your child is due.

Please don’t forget to order your repeat medication by Friday if you need supplies by Christmas.

The team are working extremely hard to get through all requests so please be kind.

Don’t forget to check the calendar and order your prescriptions ahead of time. Most GP practices ask that you order three days in advance.

Flu cases are higher than they have ever been at this time of year.

An average of 2,660 patients per day were in a hospital bed with flu last week. That’s enough flu patients each day to fill more than 3 whole hospital trusts.

If you haven’t already, and you’re eligible, get your flu vaccine.

The flu jab reduces your risk of becoming seriously ill this Christmas, and helps protect those around you.

Book via your GP, pharmacy or the NHS App.

If you are attending the surgery and have a cough or a respiratory illness, (cold or flu like symptoms 🤧), please collect a mask from the Reception desk 😷

This will ensure that the virus doesn't spread and keeps us well so we are able to be here to help you.

Thank-you! 🎄
