Lessons from a rose bush. đ„đč
I walked past this rose bush yesterday and it stunned me with its beauty. As I went to sniff its blooms, it struck me that it was blooming against the odds. It is winter and temperatures are below 5°C here (roses generally bloom in spring and summer), and it had no leaves left to fuel this extravagant display of beauty. Another thing that stood out was the ratio of thorns to flowers.
This is what life can feel like sometimes. The outside world can be harsh and cold and uncomfortably prickly, and it might feel like you don't have what it takes to get through whatever life is throwing at you.
BUT inside you, invisible to the world and sometimes even unknown to you yourself, there is strength, and power and beauty that can create a rose against all odds that brings joy to the world. You have unique and beautiful gifts to offer the world, you just have to remember this, and create those roses, in spite of what's going on out there.
Let your light shine.
Let your soul sparkle.
