The best days for me are being nature, walking in the rain and hearing my children laughing!

Sometimes when the overwhelm of life gets too much, it’s far easier to feel the pressures to keep going, to keep pushing through. “Do more!”

Our bodies weren’t designed for this, they were made with the very intention to have rests. Like the seasons changing, so our bodies change, some days we get excited by things and other days we need slower days.

All of it is needed, so when we ask our bodies for more that it cannot give us, we are not failing or weak, our bodies are just telling us, today we might need to have extra sleep, or need to take a slower day.
Other days might be the perfect days for being creative, dreaming, giving it our all.

I share this as an encouragement, what is your body telling you, that you need today?

How might you honour that today?

If you’re unable to rest today, how might you find time where you can?

If you have ideas, have lots of energy, how might you use this?

This photo was one of the best days we had recently. We decided that we all needed to stop. So our plans changed and we took ourselves off to the forest.
The rain was pouring, and yet we had so much fun splashing in puddles, foraging and then ending the day drinking hot chocolate in the boot of the car, where I read wind and the willows to the kids.

It wasn’t anything overly exciting, it didn’t cost a lot, yet inside my body felt peaceful, I felt full, and seeing the kids laughing and playing, despite the weather just showed me this is my happiest place.

I created HELD, as program to help others to learn how to slow down, listen to our bodies and to gently introduce some tools to help bring into our everyday lives that can us just take moments to breath, pause and be in the moment.
It comes with a beautiful workbook I have created along with three hourly sessions, over three days. This has been intentional, so that the work learnt can take time to sit and be explored.
During the sessions I also offer a guided talk around how to implement the ideas and also we get to do some of the exercises during the sessions.

Sessions are £45, again intentionally low cost as I want this to be as accessible to everyone whilst also holding the value of the sessions.

HELD exists because so many women leave abuse and are told:
“You’re safe now.”

But their body says otherwise.

How can someone go from living on egg shells everyday to the next day, feeling nothing?
It’s going to take time… that’s why I created
HELD a gentle 3hr program over three days.

It’s slow.
It’s grounding.
And the best part, you can come just as you are, no pressure to share, no pressure to tell your story, that’s not what this is about.
This program is about sitting in a space and learning to lean in to your body’s nervous system and learn to breathe again.

It’s for women who are functioning, but not flourishing.

HELD is not therapy.
It doesn’t involve retelling your story.
And it doesn’t push healing before you’re ready.

It’s a gentle, grounding reset, after domestic abuse, helping your body and mind begin to catch up with the life you’ve already built.

Leaving an abusive relationship is often spoken about as the finish line.

In reality, it’s the beginning of a very different chapter.

Many women tell me:
“I’m safe now… so why do I still feel on edge?”
“Why am I exhausted all the time?”
“Why do I still react like something bad is about to happen?”

Nothing is wrong with you.
Your body learned how to survive.

The work I do supports women after they’ve left when life looks calm on the outside, but the inside still feels unsettled.

This is exactly why I created HELD, a gentle starting point for women who want to feel steadier again.

Advocacy taught me safety, systems, and risk.
Coaching training is teaching me growth, identity, and forward movement.

This page is for women who have been in abusive relationships and are now out, but still feel tired, overwhelmed, or disconnected.

You might be safe now, yet your body still feels on edge.
You might be functioning, but exhausted beneath the surface.
You might wonder why it’s so hard to relax, trust, or rest.

I support women in the after.

After surviving.

My work is not crisis support and not general burnout coaching.
It’s specialist, post-abuse recovery support for women who want to rebuild, gain more calm, and self-trust gently.

This space isn’t about fixing or pushing.
