The best days for me are being nature, walking in the rain and hearing my children laughing!
Sometimes when the overwhelm of life gets too much, it’s far easier to feel the pressures to keep going, to keep pushing through. “Do more!”
Our bodies weren’t designed for this, they were made with the very intention to have rests. Like the seasons changing, so our bodies change, some days we get excited by things and other days we need slower days.
All of it is needed, so when we ask our bodies for more that it cannot give us, we are not failing or weak, our bodies are just telling us, today we might need to have extra sleep, or need to take a slower day.
Other days might be the perfect days for being creative, dreaming, giving it our all.
I share this as an encouragement, what is your body telling you, that you need today?

This photo was one of the best days we had recently. We decided that we all needed to stop. So our plans changed and we took ourselves off to the forest.
The rain was pouring, and yet we had so much fun splashing in puddles, foraging and then ending the day drinking hot chocolate in the boot of the car, where I read wind and the willows to the kids.
It wasn’t anything overly exciting, it didn’t cost a lot, yet inside my body felt peaceful, I felt full, and seeing the kids laughing and playing, despite the weather just showed me this is my happiest place.
I created HELD, as program to help others to learn how to slow down, listen to our bodies and to gently introduce some tools to help bring into our everyday lives that can us just take moments to breath, pause and be in the moment.
It comes with a beautiful workbook I have created along with three hourly sessions, over three days. This has been intentional, so that the work learnt can take time to sit and be explored.
During the sessions I also offer a guided talk around how to implement the ideas and also we get to do some of the exercises during the sessions.
