Back to baking therapy today with my 1 2 1! We made cheese savour croissants and boy were they tasty!

Therapy for everyone is different. For one of my 1 2 1 pupils I have found baking to be a game changer. Communication is completely on point as well as skills development galore including, listening, attention and focus, taking guidance, asking for help, instruction following, the list goes on. It has also developed the individuals understanding of hygiene! Outcome is always an amazing session and ends with something she is proud to share with her class mates and staff!

Cinnamon apple sugar turnovers

Sweet pastry flowers - mango apricot n white chocolate and raspberry milk chocolate!

Pencil grasp problems? ✏️ This SUPER simple activity can boost the skills kids need for gripping a Pencil with improved positioning.

So often, we see a tight grasp on the pencil, hyper-extended joints, digits wrapped around the pencil, and movement in the forearm vs. the fingers.

🤚🏻 This play dough activity strengthens the arches of the hand, separates the two sides of the hand, 👌🏼 and encourages thumb movement at the IP joint (interphalangeal joint…or the joint just before the tip of the thumb). Great easy activity for working on dexterity!
