The College of Optometrists welcomes the UK government’s decision to address headlight glare with further research to identify what vehicle design factors may be responsible for increased headlight glare as part of its strategy, published this week.

This step recognises it’s an increasingly serious issue for drivers across the UK.

The announcement follows a joint campaign by The College of Optometrists, The RAC and Baroness Hayter, which called for the causes of headlight glare to be properly investigated and addressed.

We would like to remind our patients that both our Cumnock and Mauchline practices will be closed all day on Friday 9th January.

Cumnock will reopen Saturday 10th at 9am and Mauchline Monday 12th at 9am.

Apologies for any inconvenience this may cause.

Festive Opening Times for both Cumnock and Mauchline 🎄

Any appointments booked in the festive period will be confirmed by a phonecall. Please ensure any glasses in need of repair are brought in while we are still open. Our on site lab will be closed for the duration of the Christmas period, our team can help with any small repairs. More complex repairs will be done in the new year. Sorry for any inconvenience.
