📢 Important Update for TMMG Patients

On Tuesday 24 February 2026, we will be providing a reduced service while we carry out an essential upgrade to our digital patient system. This work is vital to improving the quality, reliability, and efficiency of the care we provide.

🔧 What this means for you on the day:
Limited access to patients computerised records
No advance bookings or checking of appointments
We will be unable to check test results
We cannot process or print general prescription enquiries

👩‍ Our team will still be here to support you with urgent and essential care. If you require medical attention, please contact your branch as you normally would.

The NHS Pharmacy First Scotland service allows patients to use a community pharmacy as the first port of call for treatment.

Who is eligible for NHS Pharmacy First Scotland?
Eligibility for the Pharmacy First Scotland service is reserved for those who fit the following criteria:

Everyone registered with a GP practice in Scotland or the Defence Medical Services on a permanent or temporary basis (including care home residents).

People who live in Scotland (including gypsy or travellers / asylum seeker or dependant of an asylum seeker)

Allows patients to use a Community Pharmacy as the first port of call for treatment under the NHS Pharmacy First Scotland service.

All GP Practices, most dentists and community pharmacies have public holiday closures on Friday 19 September and Monday 22 September. Some community pharmacies will remain open during this period and can answer questions on choosing and using the right medicine and provide advice on treating everyday ailments. NHS 24 also has a number of pharmacists who are able to answer medicine and pharmacy-related questions over the telephone on 111.
