George Brooker House

George Brooker House The East London Extra Care Society is a not-for-profit organisation that has provided quality aged care to the local community for over 20 years.

We specialise in providing care to the frail and elderly, and to those with dementia. George Brooker House sits in the heart of the local community in Dagenham, Essex overlooking green parkland. Built in the early nineties, our house was designed specifically to support the needs of older people requiring residential aged care. It offers single accommodation for 44 residents within a homely setting. Our professional team provide a nurturing environment where residents live as independently as possible, cared for with dignity and respect.

Wow! What a phenomenal day, we had at the "Strictly Come Sparkle" fundraiser! A massive thank you to everyone who joined us to dance, sparkle, and raise vital funds.
The entertainment was simply show-stopping, but a special shoutout must go to our incredible guest entertainer, Clayton! He had the dance floor packed and the whole room buzzing with energy. His performance was truly the talk of the night and brought that perfect touch of sparkle to the evening!

It was fantastic to see so many smiling faces enjoying the day. The tombola stand was a definite hit, with cheers every time someone won a prize—congratulations to all the lucky winners!

Delicious mince pie making - Everyone worked together to make some delicious, homemade mince pies. From mixing the fruit filling to cutting out the pastry tops, the residents were all hands-on and full of smiles (and flour!). It was a fantastic session filled with teamwork and plenty of laughter.

The results were spectacular. Everyone gathered this afternoon for a slice, and the smiles on everyone’s faces said it all. Each bite was met with nods of approval, happy chatter, and the simple, pure joy that only homemade baking can bring. Along with a fun filled sing-along
