'We want to ensure that young people get the support they need when they need it throughout the transitions journey, this remains of critical importance to the Scottish Government'

We are very grateful to the minister Natalie Don-Innes MSP for being with us this afternoon at our conference Transitions in Action: Strategy into Practice.

We're pleased she's got to listen to the voices of lived experience from:
- Divergent Influencers
- Parents and carers

Thanks to our fantastic team in the Scottish Transitions Forum Tracey Francis, Rebecca Williams, Lauren Eliott Lockhart and Scott Richardson Read for a fab event!

We spoke a lot about the need for clear concise information today so we want to remind everyone to get into Compass - a free online tool for young people with additional support needs and the adults in their lives: compass.arcscotland.org.uk

Our sold out conference Transitions in Action: Strategy into Practice is well underway at Dynamic Earth. 📣

We started with a warm welcome from Ciara McCarthy (ARC Scotland Divergent Influencers) and James Fletcher setting the scene for the packed day.

We then heard from:
♦️ Clare McAndrew and Grant Laidlaw (The Scottish Government)
♦️ Stefanie Morris and Fiona Dalziel (North Ayrshire Council)
♦️ Ian Bruce and Louise Duff (Skills Development Scotland)
♦️ Jane Cullingworth and Charlotte Pearson (University of Glasgow)

Divergent Influencers Ryan Cuzen and Ciara McCarthy have facilitated a brilliant expert panel taking questions from the room.

Working together, letting young disabled people lead in their transition into adult life (they're the expert of their life!) and investing more in young people as this will benefit everyone's future are some of the key take away from this morning session.

We're looking forward to having Natalie Don-Innes MSP Minister for Children and Young People this afternoon.
