This year didn’t ask me to be louder.
It asked me to be more intentional.
Running a business has a way of keeping you humble. Just when you think you’ve got it figured out, it gently reminds you that you probably don’t. Somewhere between growth and grounding, momentum and pause, I’ve learned that balance isn’t fixed, it moves and often without warning.
This year has been about alignment. Finding my people. Trusting my instincts. Standing by what feels right, even when it would be simpler not to. Progress, it turns out, doesn’t always arrive with a grand reveal. Sometimes it just shows up as things feeling a little steadier than last year.
Personally, I’ve learned the value of slowing down (still learning). Saying no without a full explanation. Saying yes with purpose. Letting rest count as something useful, not something to apologise for.
One of the things I value most is what’s grown inside my little clinic room. The familiar faces, the shared humour, the conversations that start light and occasionally wander somewhere deeper. I’m very aware that for many, that space becomes somewhere to pause. A place that feels safe, familiar, and quietly supportive. Being trusted with that is something I hold with a lot of care.
There were long weeks this year spent in the clinic, often away from home. And yet it never felt like work. It felt comfortable. Familiar. A place I know well. I don’t take it for granted to do something that still feels like that, even on the long days.
After eight years, this business finally feels aligned - a reflection of my ethics, my values, and how I want to work. As this year closes, I’m heading into the next one with intention, clarity, and a calm confidence that took its time.
Thank you for being part of this year, in ways big, small, and sometimes quietly significant.
See you in 2026! Love Rachael x
