As we move into another new year, it can be easy to remember the hard times but dig deeper and look for the good times too.

The good conversations, time with family and friends, the moments of laughter, the times you surprised yourself with your own strength.
Even in a challenging year, you can hopefully find good moments.

The new year doesn’t require you to be perfect or make huge changes. Sometimes it just invites a little more support and kindness towards yourself.

This time of year has a habit of piling on the pressure.
If you suddenly find your heart racing or feel a wave of panic sneaking up like an uninvited elf… pause.

Your breath is your in-built calm button.
No Christmas batteries required!

Give this a go:
Breathe in slowly for a count of 4…
Then breathe out through your mouth for a count of 7.
Do this for a minute or longer if you need to, and notice how quickly your body shifts from “Christmas meltdown” to “I’ve got this.”

For the best results, sprinkle this technique throughout your day.
The more you practice, the more your body learns the message:
We’re calm, thank you very much. We are NOT signing up for festive panic today. 🚫
