Now that the clocks have changed and the evenings draw in, I love the coziness that comes with it…
The opportunity to light as many candles as possible, (saves turning the heating on 🤣)
a warm throw wrapped around me, that quiet sense of calm that seems to settle over everything.

In these cozy moments, your body gently releases its feel-good hormones.
Stepping into the limelight are serotonin, dopamine and oxytocin... each promoting feelings of calmmess and contentment.
It’s the body’s way of saying, “Oh yes… this feels really good...thank you” 🙏🏻💕

As much as I love all of the other seasons, this slower rhythm of dark autumn evenings can give us time to settle in, and simply be.

It's human nature to want to care for others, but sometimes we forget that our own well-being is just as important.
Very often, we fall into the mindset where we prioritize the needs of friends, family or even work, forgetting all about OURSELVES in the process! 🫣

Taking time to recharge isn’t selfish, it's necessary. ✅
Maybe it's blasting out some happy tunes, a walk in the fresh air, a cuppa and a book, or simply saying "no" to something you don't really want to take on.

When you need a break, remember, you can only pour from a full cup. ☕

When you take care of yourself, you're then better equipped to care for those around you. So take a moment to stop and check in with yourself.

When life feels like it’s moving too fast and your thoughts are racing to keep up, it’s easy to feel stressed and overwhelmed.

Here are a few gentle ways to calm your mind:

🌿 Breathe slowly and deeply. Your breath tells your body that it’s safe, and the mind listens.

🌿 Ground yourself in the moment. Notice the feel of your feet on the floor, the air on your skin, the sounds around you...this brings you back to the present moment and stops your mind from racing ahead.

🌿 You don’t have to silence your thoughts... picture them just drifting through, like fluffy clouds passing across a blue sky.

🌿 Try hypnosis or deep relaxation. It’s one of the most effective ways to quieten the noise and allow your subconscious to reset and find balance.

I saw this quote recently and it made me smile:

"Beliefs are like glasses.....change the lens, and the whole world looks different." 👓✨

It's true though, what you believe about yourself influences how you think, feel, and act every single day.
Believe you’re not good enough? You’ll find “proof” everywhere.
Believe you are capable? You’ll start noticing opportunities instead. 🤓
